“I met a group of friends here for dinner. The restaurant is nice & clean. It wasn’t crowded. But since the weather was nice we sat outside on the patio. Service was prompt. I ordered the steak sandwich with aioli & it came with a side salad. The bread was fresh & the steak was tender. But there was a lot of bread. The side salad was average the dressing was so less I could barely taste it. For a $19 sandwich I was expecting a little more filling & bread not being the main attraction. I would go again but I wouldn’t suggest it.“

“Everyone at The Green Line was so friendly and welcoming! 💚 We hosted our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner there on November 8, and it couldn’t have gone better. Our reservation was for 16 people, but we ended up with 17, and Traci, the manager, was so accommodating, making sure everyone had a seat. Our servers, Jessica and Hannah, were fantastic! Their attentive service made the evening truly memorable. “A hidden gem on Garfield Place . We decided to throw out the Hyde park restaurants and try something new . The Mezze Board was fantastic with all of the Mediterranean dips and veggies , The Shrimp Cossoult is to die for . The braised lamb /risotta/feta explodes with every bite. The best of all is that it was our first time dining and and I felt like family with the service from Nimo and Bryce , Coming back next week for the Swordfish . 6 stars !!!!!“

Helped tell us about other places to go, had us try some different draft beers, they made the best pizza’s even my kids loved all the different types and loved drawing plates to put on the wall. “I’m not a wine person but my wife wanted to try a wine bar and we decided to come to Skeleton Root. When talking to the staff I informed them of my lack of wine knowledge. They were very helpful and professional. They recommended a couple of different wines which we tried and to my astonishment, I enjoyed a couple of their wines. “1215 is one of the best coffee shops I’ve had the pleasure of frequenting, and I make it a habit to go here at least once a week. It’s in the heart of OTR and is super convenient for anyone in that area. I’m on a first name basis with the baristas and ordering food/coffee from them feels less transactional and more human. They sell Deeper Roots coffee which is top notch, and I could drink their house blend for the rest of my life. They have a really solid selection of teas too. The place is not at all pretentious, and has a regular clientele that is relaxed and friendly - and the place is bustling but not too busy. The music they play is at the right volume and is well-curated - Americana, folk, 2000s indie, soft rock, blues. Around 5-6pm the coffee shop vibe slowly turns into a romantic and cozy wine bar with live music on some nights. The flowers on the tables are replaced by candles and the lights are dimmed. While I’m usually busier in the evenings, this tempts me to stay all day. Fantastic place that I cannot recommend enough!“

“One of my favorite places to eat. I love the food. Wine selection is good. Service is good.
I have two issues with this place.
#1. They charge $10 cork fee per bottle of wine on everyday but Thursday. That’s a crime. They claim that their wine is cheaper than other places so it justifies the cork fee, but that’s simply not true. I can get most of them cheaper at Krogers. I don’t agree with being penalized $10 per bottle to drink it there. Therefore I rarely go there any longer unless it’s a Thursday. They could at least cut it back to one $10 fee per night.
#2. When they have a live band they bring the tip jar around to each table and expect you to tip the band. I know where the tip jar is and I usually tip the band, but I don’t like how they somewhat force you to tip them by bringing it to your table. Especially when I’m trying to eat my food.

- Hyde Prek is a fun cozy Environment, great place to do some studying or meeting up with a friend. Would recommend drinks like Cappuccinos and up. Baristas are super nice. Hyde Perk, is also open a bit later into the evenings.

“They have the best carrot cake!“

“Husband mentioned privately that the dish would have been great with bread. Server was at the table next to us (very small spaces) and immediately turns around “you said you want some bread” we were kind of shocked she just barged into our conversation but replied “yeah that would be great” Someone brjngs out the bread - we think what a great server to overhear a comment on how the dish would be better and try's to do so. Server then charges us for an appetizer of bread on the check. Just a tad bit tasteless behavior.“

The bartender was extremely friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. However, the drink I tried wasn’t the greatest. I think there’s an opportunity to refine the bar program and create some truly excellent, crafty cocktails—exactly what the Banks needs. With just a little tweaking, they could easily become the go-to spot for top-notch drinks. I’ll definitely be back!“

Out of towners note: this is a college sushi place. Basically right across the street from University of Cincinnati. What that means to you is the following:

1. Ridiculously inexpensive sushi
2. Really busy
3. Non-sushi items are pretty reasonable but not cheap
4. Appetizers and desserts are regular price
5. They have a format - screw with the format at your own risk

What's the format? Each diner gets an order sheet. Each order sheet results in a plate hitting your table. Combine orders and you'll still see a plate hit your table - one plate. Order all willy-nilly by telling your server what you want when he/she happens by and you'll see everything arrive on it's own plate and in no particular order. Don't fight it - just go with the flow.

As much as I enjoy sushi, the best bite of the night goes to Kid2's Galbi entree. Really tender, juicy beef short rib slices that must have been marinated for a really, really long time as they were so infused with flavor it was mind-blowing. Add in the gorgeous caramelization that took place when they were cooked over high heat and every bite was a masterpiece.“
