One of my favorite spots to visit as the owners are extremely kind and friendly.Very limited snack options, but all delicious -- ice cream, freshly baked brownies, fried bologna sandwich, coffee, hot cocoa, etc.If you arrive at lunch or dinner time, they have a daily single menu item that rotates. The day we visited was meatloaf, potatoes, and glazed carrot dinner for $11.95. 100% home cooked.”

“Maybe I'm spoiled or it's just a different kind of BBQ. I'm a truck driver and I've had BBQ from many other states and the BBQ in this area isn't what I like. That being said, the brisket was really good. Tender and had a nice taste. The sauce was good but again not my taste. Overall the food was good but I still have 4 stars since the area BBQ is different than what I like personally.Now as for the service, wasn't happy with how I was greeted, not really rude just short. Maybe it was a busy moment or something.Had a call in order and still had to wait for it when I got there.”

“Me & my wife live in New Albany Indiana. It is a nice drive through the countryside just to visit the Home Plate Restaurant. We do this fairly often, I am sure everything is great but we always get the catfish platter. It is the best we have ever had. Highly recommend this Restaurant. Thank You.”

“Stopped in for some donuts before one of my kids basketball games. Service was exceptional. Donuts were incredible. I was like a fat kid in a donut shop… will definitely swing through again! The kids were very happy, too. Going to need to do a few extra rounds on the air assault bike because of this place but it’s definitely worth it.”

“Customer service 5/5, ambience 5/5, but I think the best part was the crust and dough. I normally don't like heavy pizzas but this place didn't disappoint. I also never like Hawaiian pizza but they didn't overwhelm the pizza with pineapple matter of fact it complimented the assorted meats on the pie. Overall all three pizzas our group ordered were amazing and I'll for sure make a stop on my next trip to Ft Knox. If you see a spot full of locals on a week night you already know you found a gem.”

“We went through the drive thru and ordered blizzards.I only wanted minis but they were out of mini cups. Not a problem, I ordered smalls. However, my daughter (3), wanted a brownie blizzard and I didn’t want to pay for a small size for her as she never eats that much. The guy taking our order apologized for being out of mini cups but said he could put it in their “pup cup” size dish if I was okay with it and he would even put brownie pieces on top. Made my daughters day. Going to get ice cream should be an enjoyably experience and this guy was just that..joyful. So thank you Sir, it’s nice to have someone be happy and offer up an alternative to keep customers happy.”
