“The girls and I visited Harvey's over the weekend. We came fairly early (5pm) hoping to get parking and a seat in the bar for all of us -- it was already busy with one lonely seat available. Nevertheless, the crowd was coming and going quickly enough to snag good seats without a lot of waiting. The drinks were delicious and well prepared, and our bartender, Erin, was lovely to work with. She made us a finale drink that she called an Andes Mint Martini that was really yummy and perfect for the holiday season. Other drinks we had were Elwood's Old Fashioned, Tequila Mockingbird, a Cosmo, and the Nate-spresso Martini. All were delicious! There's also a charcuterie station in the back that prepared a beautiful spread of meats, cheeses, fruit, nuts, and sweet and savory condiments, and worth the $65 to feed our group. If you haven't visited Harvey's yet, don't wait!“

The true star of the night is Jordan, the bartender. Jordan's friendly demeanor and engaging conversations make the experience truly special. The rest of the staff are equally fantastic. SRO is like a small portal to Japan, where Kentucky’s southern hospitality blends beautifully into something truly unique. The room is always full of good people, good energy, and an inviting air that quietly encourages connection. It was a real joy to see the lovely owners again. I hold fond memories of SRO from when I lived in Lexington, and my recent quick visit brought it all back. Happy 7th anniversary to SRO — I look forward to returning for more stories soon.“

“This place is awesomeness!! From the start of reserving a table, to entry into the building, to the drinks and service was just great. Ryan the owner served us. He explained the drink menu to us and detailed the process in how they make their drinks. I tried drinks I’ve never had before. The description of each drink is spot on the way it tastes. The drinks are stout. Definitely worth the time and money. Oh and the restroom were immaculate! Would ? be going back.“

“This place is great. Came in from out of town and went to a concert. Had to walk the dog and ended up in this great, pet friendly bar. We were so excited to find such a cool spot. Super affordable. Noticed half way through our first round that we had lost an expensive ring somewhere. The owner helped us look for a while and we left our information with him after not being able to find it. Turns out, it had been dropped outside and as luck would have it, some honest person turned it in the next day and the owner gave us a call and kept it safe until it could be retrieved. The atmosphere and space is great and the place is clean! (I’d know I was searching under tables and in the corners for that ring😆) I definitely recommend Devilish Current and we plan to return on our next visits to Lex.“

“We used to frequent this place about 15-20 years ago. I was in the area and amazed it was still there! We stopped in for lunch and it was like riding a bike. The same great service and fantastic bar food, and the price was as cheap as 20 years ago! The memories I had came flying in and put a huge smile on my face ❤️

Every time I've gone in, the men's room has gotten a little scarier and the pile of broken chairs in the corner is growing. It just seems like they're existing but not taking steps to improve.. That said, the bar staff is super friendly and they still bring in fun entertainment. I hope they start taking pride in the establishment again and clean up the rough edges.“

“The Break Room bar is a smallish place with outdoor seating in a balcony plus another area for a small band. Drink prices for beer and liquor are cheap. Service by the bartender was very good and friendly. The atmosphere is quaint and rustic. Good place and recommend you try it out.“

Wes and Grace and Layne make sure everyone is catered to. Four stars on the food just because the kitchen isn't open every night, but it does have vegetarian options. “Was at proud Mary's for mothers day and had an wonderful time. Food was amazing. Upstairs bathroom was super clean. Out side area was super clean staff was also amazing and super clean. I see comments about an bathroom being not so clean. Well here is what I have to say don't let your children stuff whole roles of butt paper in the John's and if u make a mess let some one know. And the place is very old and down stair is an over flow restroom u would be complaining if it was closed. Yes it has water in floor but also seen a boy and girl playing in sink and stall. Over 5 out of if I could give 6 stars I would.“
