Adelita Mexican Restaurant Reviews
Rose waited on me. Loved the service, love the atmosphere and really loved the tostadas! Get the green sauce:)
Authentic food.
Solid 4 stars. Food is good, but a little pricey. My husband got the Abuelas mole and I got the tostadas. The tosradas were really good, even better the next day for leftovers. Adelita Mexican Restaurant offers authentic and flavorful Mexican cuisine in a cozy, casual setting. Located on Frankfort, the restaurant is perfect for a quick bite or a casual date, especially since it’s small and not suitable for large parties. The atmosphere is casual and a bit cramped, but the friendly service makes up for it, and the restaurant is very clean. Guests praise the food for tasting just like home, with some mentioning that the dishes remind them of traditional recipes. The rice is cooked fluffy to perfection, and the guacamole is outstanding. The menu features dishes like gorditas, tamales, and Chile rellenos, which remind some customers of their family recipes. The tostadas and Abuelas mole are popular choices, with the latter described as a chocolate-based sauce that is still flavorful. For those with dietary needs, the menu is largely gluten-free, with soft tortillas that don’t break easily. Beverages like horchata and fermented pineapple Agua fresca are also well-liked. While some items like plantains and guacamole portions could be improved, overall, guests find the food delicious and authentic. Many consider it the best Mexican food they’ve had, and it’s highly recommended for anyone seeking genuine flavors in Louisville.
