La Guanaquita Reviews
Best baleada's in Louisville. Inside is closed so you have to order at the window and wait. Best to call ahead.
let me tell you about this little gem! hands down best Tamal I have ever eaten. I reccomend the Elote y Queso. Also had Chicken Tamal and a steak taco. taco was clean and amazing. BUT the star of the show was the Chicharron and fried Yuca. it will blow your mind! easily 12/10
Ordered Pollo con Tajadas for pickup. 20 min wait time (not bad), friendly staff, delicious food, yummy horchata 🤤 I'll be back

La Guanaquita is a restaurant that offers an authentic Salvadoran dining experience. The pupusas, a traditional Salvadoran dish, are described as the best in the area, with their flavor having greatly improved over the years. The Baleada, tostadas, chicken tamales, and the Catracho plate are also popular menu items. While some customers noted that the meat in the Baleada could be better, the tamales and Baladas are highly praised. The plantains remain a delicious dessert-like side dish. The portions are generous, and the flavor is amazing, making it a go-to restaurant for many. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the service has notably improved. The atmosphere is cozy, and customers appreciate the very cheap prices and the delicious tamarind juices. Despite some past communication challenges, La Guanaquita continues to feel like a home away from home for those who visit.
