“My wife and I were visiting Versailles for her birthday and wanted to find a great local coffee shop experience, and The Amsden was exactly what we were looking for. Located right in the heart of downtown Versailles inside a beautifully restored historic building, it truly feels like one of the local hotspots where the community gathers each morning.

The coffee was excellent, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the outdoor patio right on Main Street was the perfect place to sit, relax, and enjoy a cup of coffee together. It has that authentic small-town Kentucky charm that’s hard to find anymore.

If you’re visiting the Versailles area, exploring Kentucky bourbon country, or just looking for a great local coffee shop with character, great drinks, and a relaxing atmosphere, I would highly recommend The Amsden. Definitely one of the coolest coffee spots in Central Kentucky. Highly recommend!“

“I just showed up literally few mins ago nobody was in the drive thru and we were waiting for my phone to be turned on so I could get my drink and this girl I wish I got her name but she was super super sweet and quick with helping me and I now love this place forever and the other girls in the drive theu window they were all so sweet and made my drink super tasty thank you so much love this dutch bros they deserve a raise for real!!! ♡♡♡♡“

“I stopped into a neat little breakfast spot called El Café, and I was genuinely impressed. The lady who took my order was incredibly kind and professional. It’s refreshing to see a small shop take such care in preparing food. Everything was fresh and well-presented, and they even gave me hot water for my tea without me asking. “Stopped in after seeing a reel back in November about the pancakes with the bourbon maple syrup. They lived up to the hype. The orange zest was such a perfect addition. My husband got the breakfast burrito (and added apricot jam on top since he doesn’t like spicy… not that the green salsa was imo 🙄). Our waitress, Carmen, described the menu with so much detail and hype that we wanted to order one of everything. Honestly it felt like watching a performance. We ended up sharing the breakfast potatoes w/ cheese and it’s like the most adultish, upgraded version of my childhood favorite McDonald’s hash brown. And I mean that as a high compliment. Also the banana bread latte was delicious and the perfect finish to the meal. We will definitely be back!“

“Everyone here is so sweet and kind. I am a regular and they all know me by name. The manager, Jenna, is absolutely lovely. Once time I ordered a drink, didn't like it, and she got me a different one. Today, she chatted with me about various coffees, and actually made me a drink because she wanted me to try the syrup. She is so kind, so professional, sweet, and she manages the store beautifully. Lovely lady. Please give her a raise or promotion.“

“They should hire staff who are trained to work quickly and efficiently. Whenever I come, the restaurant is empty and they take too long to deliver orders. I could understand some of it, but the restaurant is always empty and they are just as slow. 🫤✅✌️“

“It was better the first time I went here but still the donuts are good and the coffee is pretty up there and the inside is a really nice area. The only thing to look out for is that the drive-through needs to be taken around the other shop instead of going around the one shop and out front to the dunkin.

Parking: There isn't much parking but there's not many who park out front.“

“The Starbucks within this Kroger isn’t bad, it always gets our orders correct and also has friendly staff, outstanding customer service. For a corporate location, this particular establishment appears to be up-kept and well maintained, contrary to popular perception.“

“We stopped today after my son's first eye exam because he wanted his favorite donuts. Vivian taking our order was fantastic. She was super sweet and patient with my kids. She let them pick out exactly which donut the kids wanted and was so nice to my son. As someone in sales, she did a great job upselling asking if I wanted cold foam. Hope she gets some recognition for how great of an employee she is!“

“The worse starbucks in the city. Theo was horrible and incompetent on Thursday August 5th morning. Missed my pick up order and then argued that I should be in que as her missing it was not the problem. Sad, coz this is the closest starbucks but will not be going back again because of horrible and disrespectful customer service who refuse to see their own mistakes.“
