“We celebrated my birthday at Carmelo’s, our first time there. The experience was incredible, and our server was exceptional. The food was absolutely amazing & I can’t stop thinking about it! We had the oxtail pasta and the red fish. Fish is my favorite, and I’ve never had better tasting fish. Our server also convinced us to try the cauliflower, which was amazing. I’m already planning our next visit!! Shout out to Mitch and his partner for creating such an amazing restaurant!”

“My wife and I went to this restaurant today, after a great recommendation from one of my employees. This place is absolutely amazing! The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the service is completely top notch! Literally better service than I have received probably ever, and we go to A LOT of restaurants. Literally, my wife’s napkin fell to the ground and after I picked it up, the lady who was the host to us seen it and brought her a new one. Drinks did not run dry, and every single member of the staff was helping out and conversing with us. The owner and chef even came out to shake my hand. What an absolute gem in Cincinnati. This is a place NOT to miss out on. And don’t forget to order the cornbread! Hands down the best I have ever tasted. We left and wished we were hungry again and could turn around and go back inside.”

“We had dinner at the downtown location this evening to celebrate my son’s graduation from the military, and leaving to report to his first assignment. From the time we were seated, to the time we left, several staff members came over to shake his hand and thank him for his service, even the General Manager. We always receive exceptional care from any Jeff Ruby’s establishment, but are so grateful to our amazing server Peter along with all of the other staff who took the time to make our family feel so special. “A hidden gem on Garfield Place . We decided to throw out the Hyde park restaurants and try something new . The Mezze Board was fantastic with all of the Mediterranean dips and veggies , The Shrimp Cossoult is to die for . The braised lamb /risotta/feta explodes with every bite. The best of all is that it was our first time dining and and I felt like family with the service from Nimo and Bryce , Coming back next week for the Swordfish . 6 stars !!!!!”

“We were visiting from Buffalo and my wife had read about the distillery in whiskey advocate so we wanted to take a tour . We really really enjoyed it . Carus - I hope I spelled his name correctly gave us the tour and it was very informative and fun getting the chance to talk to him and ask as many questions as we wanted. It’s a neat little distillery with excellent products , a cool backstory and a nice bar area for excellent cocktails . Definitely worth stopping in to support them - your new friends and fans from the Buffalo area- rob, sue and Tim 😊”

“RUN-DON'T WALK! The food was beyond great, and the server was the most friendly Jamaican restaurant cashier I have ever met. I've eaten Jamaican food my entire life all across the country and have I yet encountered such a friendly staff. The oxtails were perfectly cooked. The rice and peas were moist and flavorful. The cabbage had hints of pepper and perfectly seasoned. The beef Patty, which to me was my favorite part of the meal was made fresh and you can tell! The price was a bit steep. But I knew that going in, because Jamaican restaurants nowadays are fairly expensive, but every bite was worth every dollar.”

“I went to dinner with my friends to celebrate a friend‘s birthday. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating of a large group. They were also very careful to make sure that our dairy free friend knew what options were available to her and made it very clear, even when the courses were delivered which dishes she could share with friends. Additionally, I accidentally left my leftovers in the restaurant when I went to my car, and the staff were so helpful to run it out to my car in the sprinkling rain to give it to me so that the food would not go to waste. I highly recommend the Icelandic cod, as well as the Parisian carrot salad.”
