“Social, Reve and Magpie are the highest quality coffees in BR, but Social is my favorite. I don't drink coffee with flavorings so I can't speak to that, but their Americanos, lattes and pour overs are solid. They also regularly sell great beans like Brandywine and “
“We ended up at this place with my family looking for a cozy place to have coffee. This was the perfect spot for us.The kids had a blast and they enjoyed their drinks as well.Crème brûlée was delicious (better than STBX to be honest). The service was great. This whole area has been transformed from an electric company factory into bars, coffee house and retailers (gift stores).Definitely worth making it your spot to visit for coffee with family and friends.Parking: Parking is limited for the number of businesses- at least close by.Kid-friendliness: Nice space and good drinks like hot chocolate or cold drinks“
“I had the shrimp po-boy. It is so big! The shrimp were perfectly fried and really tasty. I also had a rose milk tea with rainbow jelly, so refreshing. My boyfriend loved the fried catfish. The cornmeal breading wasn't too thick and was well seasoned. He also had a strawberry milk tea with strawberry popping boba.“
“I love this place!! I go here at least once a week. They have always been fully stocked with plenty of yummy goodies. My favorite is the glazed blueberry cake donut... Soooooo good. The eclairs are tasty as well. They add the cream when you place the order, it is possible to get them without the cream as well. Try this place out.... You will thank me!!!“
“How great is it that there is a coffee shop in Zachary that's easy to get to? This cute little coffee shop in an Airstream trailer is just what the doctor ordered! My mom and I have dropped a couple of times, and she always orders a caramel Frapp. The coffee is always pronounced and delicious. There's nothing better than an iced coffee drink on a hot day. Even the pastries are great. The owner is kind and friendly, and was even willing to make extra pastries for us to take home. This is a great coffee shop that puts Starbucks to shame. Well worth a visit!“
“I was driving thru Zachary yesterday morning, stopped to get iced tea for me and a coffee for my friend.... well... I had the most pleasant experience. It was around 10:30 and the young lady that helped me was fantastic. She was friendly, personable and had a great smile. PJ is lucky to have her!“
“My favorite donut shop is closed on Mondays. I left a bit early to drive to the other side of town to check out Town Donuts!! It's a small shop in a strip mall... Lots of parking and easy to get in and out. I was greeted quickly by smiling faces and the donut case was full of all types of goodies!! They offered coffee, juice and soda as well. I chose the blueberry cake donut... Great choice. This will be my new Monday stop. I recommend this place to anyone.“
“What a great addition to Central! The only thing I've tried so far was DELICIOUS. I had the "Turkey Spin Art Melt," which was a perfectly buttered and toasted sandwich with warm creamy spinach-artichoke dip, sliced turkey, caramelized onions, and fresh tomato. So. Good. I was surprised! I thought "The Hausse" was a coffee shop, but they have so much more--cocktails, specialty coffee, and food that can compete with (and beat!) most restaurants. Their menu sounds fantastic with so many choices that would please anyone...breakfast, salads, sandwiches, etc). This place is GREAT for families with small kids, as there's a SEPARATE indoor playing area, so others can still dine and sip their coffee in peace. It's a win-win for everyone. Overall, the place is clean and beautiful. I came for the play area for my daughter, but I will be back for the food, ha!“
“Got here at 7AM to get a birthday donut for our 4 year old. The staff was SO amazing and even came out to sing happy birthday! And when he accidentally dropped his donut on the floor they were RIGHT there to replace it before we even asked. Thank you SO much for starting our little buddy’s birthday out right. You guys just have the BEST customer service and know how to bring joy into your workplace. <3“
“This is an absolutely delightful little restaurant in the heart of Spanish Town. If you're looking for someplace just to vibe and maybe grab a small bite, this is 100% where you need to be.Parking: Given its location, there is no real parking lot.Kid-friendliness: There's absolutely a relaxing vibe that I feel is 100% kid friendly, though I don't see anything kid focused there.“
“This is my favorite CC's. I can swing around and get a bite between schools or treat my mother to a favorite sugar-free treat in the evenings. My favorite sandwich is the turkey and provolone. When I treat myself to something sweet, the blueberry or pistachio muffins. We love the coffees and teas. The coffees are southern style with southern strength to it-- none of that dishwater weak stuff. The frappacinos are a great dessert. We can have a treat with splenda instead of sugar which is very important when treating my mother. The folks are nice there. When I can, I like to buy the purchase for the people in the car behind me because someone did that for me. I've liked every student I've seen working there. They're great kids. So I'm glad there is an option on the new device to leave a tip at the drive-thru.“
“This coffee & lunch shop is a gem! We really enjoyed our time there. Good hot chocolate, tasty lemon pound cake, & delicious mango smoothie all for a good price. There is comfortable seating that is spread far apart for covid-19. We liked the sofa. ?. It is a small local coffee shop with local artwork & a small sound stage area set up for live music.“
“Locally owned cafe on Greenwell Springs Road in N Baton Rouge area, almost to Central. I've been here twice and had to get the delicious shrimp Poboy both times! I'm a critic of Poboy bread, but this one I love. I don't bother to get fries, but since these are included (and quite yummy), I gobble them up too! I hope to try the breakfast menu one day but haven't found myself in the area at that time yet. As far as I can tell, Cafe Jeanpierre is a one woman show! Again, I've only been there twice, but both times it's just the owner. She's quick to get the orders made and polite. No small talk, but that's perfectly okay. She also has lots of plants she tends to in the window that I love to admire. I first heard about this cafe several years ago in the news, so I'm glad I've finally doin it and been able to appreciate the awesome reputation. It's located in a strip mall on a major road, so make sure to GPS it to not miss it! I definitely recommend supporting this local biz; trust me, your tastebuds will thank you!“
“This was an excellent coffee shop! I got the green tea tropical with cantaloupe syrup and mojito syrup. Let me tell you, this was the best drink I have ever had. I also got a macaroon. Yummmmmmm! The service was excellent. The lady at the desk told me about the sweetener she used which I ended up getting. She was so right. This was one of the nicest waitresses I have ever met. This was such a cozy and comforting place. This would also be a good place to stop and work at. So much better than Starbucks. I will stop by every time I am in the area!“
“McDonald's the ever present to go to when you need a quick meal that tastes good and has no surprises. The voice on the sign took our order and repeated it back for clarity. I got a big mac with fries and a drink and my wife got a fish sandwich. The service was fairly quick the food was hot and tasty. If you are going to drive and eat at the same time, take a minute to arrange your table so there is no need to look before grab.“
