“I went here for my anniversary last night. We arrived at 8 for an 8:15 reservation. They told us to wait at the bar so we ordered a cocktail. there were dishes where we sat. someone picked up the dishes but did not wipe off the bar! She took our drink orders and did not wipe of the bar that was covered with stick stuff likely from other people's drinks. After she brought out drinks, $14 ea, she set them down and still did not wipe off the bar top. so I took an ice cube from my drink. she had not even given us napkins so I had to reach into her area and get one. I used my ice cube and napkin to clean the counter in front of us! We had to remind the hosts as it seemed they forgot us. We were seated and our server was wonderful. We asked for edamame as an appetizer. and we ordered another drink. none of which were under her control. I feel the bar should have its own serving staff as the servers are way too busy with tables. 30 min later I asked about the edamame. She said it still was not ready. I asked how hard can it be to make edamame. 30 seconds in a microwave. she said she gets attitude when she asks why it isn't ready. we still did not have our second cocktail. probably would have had more if they had been more timely! second one I ordered a double gin and tonic. it has no alcohol it in. My friends got a Grey Goose on the rocks and a mojito. all of us commented that the booze was watered down. Our server took the edamame off our bill. This was our 5th time and we have always enjoyed going there for special occasions. after last night we will not be going back food is great but be prepared for poor service...“

“I think this is the first time I’ve reviewed a bar. My boss man with Oxbow brought us to this bar and holy smokes this was a throw back bar. Super clean and no smoke! Drinks were good and reasonably price. No kids so not stupid fights and even though there was no music requests the music provided by the bar was legit! Everytime I come Baton Rouge from now on I’m going to make this my spot. Can’t recommend enough“

“My wife and i were surprised at the relatively dissapointing nightlife in downtown Baton Rouge. As we drove, she searched for a speakeasy. We came upon Hayride Scandal. Parking was easy, as we came upon the location nestled alongside a Hooters. Tall wooden doors open to a very nicely decored bar room. Darkly tone wood accents with bar or lounge seating. We choose the bar, as it is my habit to strike up conversations with the mixologists and learn about the establishment. 5 stars go to Brian, who was willing to engage my questions and then 3 mixology challenges. Classic black & white movies play on monitors over the bar tv. Fellow bar patrons were excellent conversation and an opportunity to wish them a happy birthday. Brian and Hayride Scandal made up for a great Saturday evening. Highly recommend this locale for all!“

“Awesome bar with great people and good. Keep an eye out for the specials bc they have some killer deals. The Winona burger and fries were amazing! Will definitely return if I’m ever back in town. It looks like they are set up for live music but even if no band is playing they still have great taste in music playing in the background. One pool table and multiple tvs if you want to watch some sports and hangout. Highly recommend.“

They went above and beyond to share their space with us and were so helpful - even let us store the stage there for a night when we asked if it was possible. Special shout out to Caleb and JP and all the amazing team members that we interacted with. You were all outstanding and we look forward to being back with you on Sunday night!! How can it get any better when the big man himself is on the grill cooking all the steaks and his wife is keeping it straight on when you get your food. Out side of their long menu of different flavors and choices, the staff will help you with a drink of your own! My favorite drink at this location HAS TO BE the Victoria’s Secret. “Very spacious and modern. It has a large stage for live music. It also has a VIP Section in the back as well as an outdoor patio in the front.

Personally, I would recommend that the Bar offer a little more variety in alcoholic beverages.
More Exotic & Foreign Beers. More Traditional Cocktails and Wines. Uncle Earl’s already has an impressive selection. But if you want to be competitive in the race. The more, the merrier.

The Management & Staff at Uncle Earl’s are hands down, the friendliest that I’ve seen in quite some time. They relish your business and go above and beyond in service.
This should give them a powerful edge over other places that sometimes act like customers are plentiful & replaceable. Here, they truly appreciate your business.

Also, this is a great place for Private Parties and gatherings. There are plenty of TVs to watch your favorite sports.

It has a great location, easy to get to from wherever you live. The parking is in the rear of the strip-like mall.

“My husband and I came down from Illinois to visit relatives and I wanted a daiquiri badly. Saw several reviews about a lady working or worked here that was rude. I wasn't going to stop here but I took a chance. Sage was very nice! He spoke, he was polite and friendly. So glad the customer service is better. Drinks are good, too. It wasn't busy or crowded. In the middle of Barton Rouge has huge Mississippi River. So it is famouse with all the fish- based dishes. But, there is another root, "French style". The [King Bar & Bistro] is exactly the place.

Located at the basement floor of the "Indigo Hotel", it gave us very pleasent, cool, fresh air. All the staff were gentile and being friendly. And the Chef... He knew what we precisely starved for, even we didn't know.

Steak, Ratattoi, Pasta, each of plate was epic, gorgeous, even became sexy.

We were kind of bored with all fried fish, shrips, and potato chips. And the steak was like an angel of the pallet.

We were fully loved and enjoyed all flaboured harmony.

It is became 3 months to be renovated, and they served the most beautiful cheescake.
And with the Lemon-cocktail.

The perfect combination.

“On 8/11/23. Never been here before but my husband friend invited us. It's definitely the older crowd. I like that, bc I don't do clubs. Parking is limited, inside space is limited but it's not crowded..no shoulder to shoulder. They played good music(a real dj ??), everyone was dancing the drinks are good. They cook food on the outside. If I had to say if I would go back I would. Only downside is they give u your ice in a bowl. It wouldn't be much if they get some of those ice buckets from Dollar tree to make it a little let hood. Other than that it's a nice chill spot. oh yeah, they HAVE SECURITYThe one across the street seem a little more wide open. The younger crowd. I don't do that.“
