Been twice. First time was by luck on Friday night of LSU-Ole Miss game weekend when we couldn't find a table for 8-people anywhere else. We sat outside and had great food, great margaritas, great service and a really nice time. Second time we made reservations, just two couples. Sat inside and had same great experience. Hope they are able to make it in the challenging restaurant business. Really nice people with an authentic Mexican restaurnt and good food.
I am a fan of la chilanga. Went on a Friday night 3/14 for dinner, the doors were locked, no one in sight. This was upsetting as I was looking forward to eating there.
Been here a few times and the food and service had always been good. Today I got the enchiladas suizas which tasted amazing and a long island but I think they may need to clean out their alcohol bottles as there was a nat in my drink. I also ordered the queso dip but it was really watery unfortunately and tasted like Mac n cheese instead of queso. Other than that, was ok.
LA CHILANGA Taco House offers a good atmosphere and excellent service. The food is very delicious, especially the quezabirrias, which tourists recommend trying. The pina loca, a dish with various types of pork and shrimp, is also praised. However, the beef skirt meal could be improved in terms of preparation. The restaurant has received mixed reviews, with some customers praising the food and service, while others have experienced issues with the queso dip and a stray insect in a drink. Despite the challenges of the restaurant business, the owners are described as nice people running an authentic Mexican establishment with good food.
