Friendly quirky staff and a funky cool fun bathroom you just HAVE to see! Not even kidding, check out their bathroom. (you'll see and you'll be glad you did! 😄)
I had the Red Beans and Rice with Sausage and the Greens. Unbelievable! The Greens were incredible. Sweet and savory at once.
My daughter had the smoked wings. Excellent! The Green beans and Mac & cheese were awesome.
My son had the stewed chicken over rice WOW!
My wife had the fried chicken breast with creamed mashed potatoes. So good!
Huge portions and friendly no frills casual atmosphere.
Best meal we had on this trip!

“Excellent experience overall. The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. The barbecue is top quality, full of flavor and very well prepared. The atmosphere is amazing as well, with blues music that really sets the vibe.
Coming from South Texas, where barbecue is taken very seriously, we can confidently say that this place knows how to do barbecue right.
Special thanks to Chef Roderick for an outstanding job—everything was perfectly done. Highly recommended.“

“Pulled pork and jerk bbq sauce were delicious. The jerk bbq sauce is the best I’ve ever eaten (so far). Customer service is lacking, my takeout order wasn’t received and they didn’t want to fulfill the order. I wouldn’t recommend this location based upon the customer service but I do recommend the jerk bbq sauce.“

“Shane’s catered our event and it was a hit! Great tasting food and definitely get your bang for your buck! Fresh and tasty and loved by all. The staff could not be more friendly and are appreciative of your business. Will definitely continue to stop in for a meal and use them in the future for any catered events. Go check them out!“

“5-piece wing is reasonably priced. Fries are seasoned just right, and there was an electrical outlet available in the clutch for my phone.
This place has an unassuming, but cozy sit-down bar with cushioned seats. These small accoutrements are just what a Canal and Bourbon Street wanderer needs for Super Bowl weekend.“
“Smoking Aces catered a large event for my group. The food was delish. Pulled chicken was moist and tender. The sauce barely made it to the end of the line. Next time I will order more! The Mac and cheese was creamy as can be and the coleslaw was right on. Working with Mark was a breeze and he’s very accommodating and on time. I’ll use him again! Lynn“
“0n a recommendation from our small haunted hotel we hit MRB for lunch. The catfish po boy was outstanding. Their drink specials were just right and reasonably priced. Two days later, we went back to try the alligator sandwich and some charbroiled oysters also spot Definitely would not call this a tourist trap. It’s like most of Nola, funky, functional and fun. “Some of the best wings on the West Bank. Great service,great people. If you haven't tried this little hidden gem, I highly suggest you do. Those boudin balls and swamp rice is a must try. Id give this place 10 stars if it let me!“

“We visited this Swig and Swine location yesterday. It was an absolute wonderful experience! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with big smiles! Everyone was so friendly! We were already happy with our decision to give it a try without even ordering yet! Our waitress was fantastic! We had a nice window table to see the sun shining on the water. When the food came out it was perfect. I got the PB&J wings and hubby got the catfish! EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS! Our cups stayed full and we legit had a great time! HIGHLY Recommend trying this location! Great food, service and people!“

“I was just looking for something to eat and did a quick Google search when the name of the restaurant caught my eye. I went there and met the owner, who was welcoming and showed me the best way to order so I could get the best value for my money. When the food came out, I enjoyed every bite. This was my first time, and I will definitely be back.“

“We stopped here recently while traveling, and I am still thinking about their breakfast burrito a week later! The creole potatoes inside were perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. And the seafood cheese sauce? Oh man was it good! I didn’t even think to take pictures. We agreed that even after spending a week in New Orleans, that this was the best meal we had on our trip, hands down. We really hope this local restaurant makes it so we can visit again.“

“I love Teaxs Roadhouse it is one of my favorite restaurant. Mostly because of the bread. The balloon guy pasted me up and he said that he would be back but he lied to an 8 year old!!! Anyways the food is really good 👍 😋 So, 5 stars i will want to go again!!!!“
