“I want to start this review with complete honesty — our experience with Ormand Manor began a little rocky. Early on, we faced some communication challenges and were unsure how things would come together. But then everything changed when the venue made some personnel updates and we were introduced to Boyd, our new director. From that moment forward, it was like night and day.
Boyd is, in every sense of the word, phenomenal. Professional, attentive, and genuinely caring, he went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more. We have worked with a lot of people in our lives, but we've rarely been so impressed by someone’s level of dedication and calm under pressure. He truly bent over backwards for us — every question was answered, every detail was handled, and every small request was met with a smile and a solution.
On our actual wedding day, I didn’t have to look around, worry, or ask what was next — the Ormand Manor team had it all under control. I felt completely at peace knowing everything was being handled with care and precision. And it wasn’t just Boyd; the entire staff operated like a well-oiled machine, ensuring that every part of the day flowed perfectly.
What really stood out was how they handled the weather. It rained right up until about 30 minutes before our ceremony. Most venues would have defaulted to the backup plan, but Boyd and his team jumped into action the moment the skies cleared. They moved chairs, reset everything, and somehow turned our dream of an outdoor wedding into a beautiful reality — all without missing a beat. Watching them work together so quickly and professionally left us absolutely speechless.
From catering to coordination, every single detail was handled with flexibility, kindness, and a genuine desire to make our day special. They didn’t just meet expectations — they far exceeded them.
We will forever be grateful to Boyd, Vickey, and the entire Ormand Manor staff for giving us a wedding day that felt effortless, elegant, and completely unforgettable. What started off uncertain became one of the most beautifully executed days of our lives, all thanks to this incredible team.

“So overall I love the food here. Never had a problem until today (unfortunately today was the wrong day to set me off). There are 2 condiments/toppings I can not stand and will ruin anything I eat because you can’t just wipe it off and that Sour cream and MUSTARD!!!!! I can not figure out how “Mayo, Lettuce and Ketchup ONLY” translates to MUSTARD, Lettuce and Ketchup!!!! The words Mustard and Mayo don’t even begin to sound the same except for the M. And it wasn’t a little mustard. The bun was SOAKED with it. Call them and wanted me to come back in so they could remake it while the rest of my family’s can eat theirs. I’m glad they didn’t put it on my 6yrs olds burger!!!!“

“If you're nearby, especially at the Destrehan Plantation or on the way back to New Orleans from Whitney Plantation, you must stop by and visit Amanda to get a roast beef po'boy! She is so hospitable and the sandwich was just fantastic. She, along with her patrons, are a model for southern hospitality.“

“Absolutely incredible! The staff made us feel like we were family and that we were the most important people in the world. I'm not kidding about that last statement... they were awesome! The Chef, Joe Boudreaux, was extremely personable and truly enjoyed talking about his passion, cooking. The food was fantastic... boudin egg rolls, the spicy fried oyster appetizer, the Montecristo, and the pork belly wedge were all so delicious. My advice is to take a little road trip to St. Rose and eat some of the best food and meet some incredible folks.“

“Ate here for the first time just now. The lady who waited on us was super sweet. We had the crab cakes and pasta. Excellent!! A neat little place! Ended with a malt that was great! I recommend!!“

“Order food but was told after sitting for over 30 minutes that it got lost in the kitchen...smh...asked for my check and told them forget. The manager came over and was very nice. He fixed the issue and we received our food in a timely matter. The person waiting on us was new and the manager took full responsibility. The waiter was nice, but I could tell he was new. After that I provided grace to the new employee and still gave him a decent tip. Thanks
again for making an unhappy customer a happy customer. The the owner that answered me. I didn't have my receipt. The issues was taken care of. Thank you for caring.“

“Bf has been raving about this place for years about the Shrimp Ducky. My First time and Came alway from Texas. The food was amazing. I am disappointed in the person at the hostess stand. She was a little rude and not hospitable. We had a togo order due to our dog in the car. We don’t know where to go to pick up the order and it left us wandering the restaurant.“

“Ms. Catherine was the best waitress. I felt like my mother was waiting on me! The cook on the other hand, had problems with the order and had to keep repeating making my eggs over medium. But It came out ok. I will recommend waffle house to my friends.“

“My coworkers and I frequent the Humble location and the service and food are always well received. I don’t like looking for a parking spot, but it’s well worth it! Today they went far and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and I appreciate that!“
“We had Fagus, lovely man recommended some places for us to check out next time we came and showed us some great pictures on his phone of the cool costumes during halloween. Greattt drinks and awesome vibes. We got an aviation and promises promises $11.99 each“
“I stayed here for a night last week, it’s near the airport so it’s very convenient. I went down the bar to get some late night food To-Go, my bartender was super sweet and the restaurant luckily takes Apple Pay! I ordered a burger and fries and it was so good. I wish I got the bartender’s name, he’s an older Caucasian male, so nice you’ll have great service with him!“

“After visiting the IHOP on Williams and leaving...don't get me started on that fiasco...we went here. There was 1 server and 1 cook (the Mgr). We stayed, even knowing it would be a bit before our food was made because of online orders and ones before ours. We were good waiting.
The cook came out and got our order and next thing we know, it's on the table....so worth the wait!!
Even though they were short a server and cook, they busted butt to make sure all of us were taken care of. Yes, there were people who left because of the wait but as someone who was a Night Mgr at a Cafe, it's understandable. It was so nice being told what was going on and why it would take time....honesty got our server the best tip we've given!
My problem is, I didn't get our server's or the cook's name and I feel terrible for that but they were awesome!
Keep it up y'all and we'll be back!“
