“Wow, the service was top tier! My husband and I were blown away by the warmth, hospitality, enthusiasm and experience shown by our server, Makiah. She gave us great recommendations for our apps and entrees. She paid special attention to my gluten free preference and made sure that I got exactly what I asked for. She spoke highly about her boss and colleagues. You can tell that she thoroughly enjoys working there. Our dining experience was pleasant all the way throughout. She even gave us a tour of the Blue Room after dinner. Very cool space! We definitely will be back soon. 💛“

“Having moved from Paris to Lafayette, I lived in Lafayette for three years. Now I live in New Orleans, and I swear, I can’t find a Po’Boy here that’s even close to as good as the ones at Chris’. I went to Chris' for three years, happy as could be, and I’d always order the catfish Po’Boy and a cup of gumbo. The whole crew was so dang nice, and I really loved getting to know y’all. And I gotta say, there ain’t a single place in New Orleans that even comes close to Chris’. Y’all were the best, hands down. I sure do miss y’all. God bless y’all. ❤“

“We went to Mel’s on Johnston St. this past Saturday. It was busier than usual but there was a visiting football team and their supporters in town. The crowd was loud, but everyone seemed happy. The food came out hot and was very fast! The food and the service was excellent! We love Mel’s and had another great experience!“

“First time visit, found the place clean and the staff very helpful. Ordered a Barbeque Brisket potato with the potato almost football size and a nice thick layer of Brisket on top. Too much food for one sitting! I have enough for a second meal. I will continue to return and bring others as well.“
