“Off The Hook in Denham Springs off South Range Ave was a pleasant experience. Their phrase fast Cajun is spot on. I ordered one of the platters plus a small order of crawfish etouffee. Price was a bit more expensive for fast food as I would have liked. But the satisfying quality made it worth it. The fried items were perfectly crispy. Hushpuppies were unexpectedly delicious. Etouffee was mild but still flavorful enough for the average customer. Inside of the restaurant was clean and comfortable. You will find different artwork pieces depicting Louisiana life in a colorful way as well as a description of Off The Hook. Cajun, jazz, and blues music plays in their speakers adding to the fast Cajun theme.
2 bathrooms with individual use instead of stalls. Both with changing stations which is absolutely wonderful to see. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Employees were friendly and helpful. There are dine in, take out, delivery, and drive thru options. I have eaten here many times as well as gotten take out for my family. My family have enjoyed everything we have bought here with no issues or complaints. Definitely recommend.“

“Okay listen… I hate sweet tea the taste makes me gag. My husband and I just left this location and he ordered a raspberry sweet tea and I was thirsty so I took a sip. It was the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted and I know that sounds crazy but it was that good. I don’t know who’s making the drinks today but they need to keep making them. After I unwillingly gave his drink up he tasted it and said “oh yeah they made it real good today.” So I don’t know if they always taste like this but I’ll drive back across town just to come to this location for that tea and I’m coming from the juban exit.“

The Oysters were BURNT...all small FOUR of them...so crunchy a guest said the could have broken their teeth?!? I ordered the Shrimp PoBoy and only got a HALF! They said they would refund me, well DoorDash did...not sure why they did and not Jasmines. , waiting on an answer from them BURNT FOOD IS UNACCEPTABLE...there was no way they didn't know...really!!?? Especially if it can harm someone? What else was there was good, but it was disappointing it wasn't right, again! Oh, a good thing, the Shrimp and Corn soup had shrimp in it this time, just too creamy for my taste. Not used to cream in it. “So my experience at City Pork on Highland was amazing. The interior was clean and modern. I believe our servers name was Aisha, and I was honestly having a bad day and she made me feel so much better with her kindness and hospitality. My meal was the Pork Belly Hoagie and I would rate that an 8.5/10. I think if it had some pickled onions on it to balance the richness from the pork belly, it would be even more amazing. Although it did come with a pickle, but I didn’t really care for that, it was too sweet for my liking so I give that a 4/10. I also had a side of coleslaw, and it had this peppery taste, which I actually enjoyed, while it was still sweet (but not too sweet) and crunchy. I’ll give that a 7.5/10. My husband got the smoked chicken and he would give that a 9.5/10, because he wanted even more because it was so good.“

As a younger female no one ever speaks to me besides to take my order and she got to know me and made me feel welcome! She’s sweet as can be, I wish her all the best!“
