Visited today for the first time. Upon arrival we were welcomed by Greg at the front door offering High 5's, and were promptly walked through the process of how to order and what to expect. Appetizers came out quickly, (which the fried pickles were perfect), and the entrees came out quickly after that and were also incredible. Customer service was phenomenal all around. Love the food and just all around great place and people
When it takes over 30mins to get your food (2 sandwiches) thats underwhelming and overpriced, twice. It really makes you not return! I'm for giving places a second chance, but when you mess that up, there won't be a third. Spend your money elsewhere, this place isn't worth it!

Based on the reviews, Rusty Pelican is a great little casual neighborhood restaurant with amazing food. The seafood platter is spiced just right with no greasy taste and is worth the effort. Other good choices include the fried soft shell crab, the catfish basket with a light batter and sweet flavor, onion rings, burgers, and gumbo. The fried pickles are perfect, and the surf and chirp tossed in buffalo sauce, chicken and sausage gumbo, and potato salad are also recommended. The crab cakes are the best in a long time, and the shrimp salad is good. The customer service is phenomenal all around, with staff being attentive and engaging. Guests are welcomed at the front door with High 5's and walked through the ordering process. A wall of hot sauce is available for customer use, and sweet goodies crafted by someone who works there are out of this world. The atmosphere and patio are nice, with good friendly service and beer. The restaurant is very clean. However, guests should note that they must order at the bar, as the sign could be larger for those walking in.
