There were so many food options available and the lunchtime clientele was comprised of local residents. Everyone knew everyone else there and it was packed! The food was fantastic, served quickly, unpretentious, and made with love! Everything we ordered was amazing! I ordered the lunch special of a 1/2 shrimp po’boy sandwich and the chicken and sausage gumbo. We also I had the gator bite appetizer, which was incredible! This little gem is one of the many best kept local secrets in the area! You just have to visit here! You won’t be disappointed!”

He was very welcoming and is who he appears to be on the show, Swamp People. My kids thought it was really cool to meet a star off Swamp People. “Road stop dining that can't be missed on the way to New Iberia. The gentleman who served up the food and was servicing the window was quick and cooks up a mean barbecue. Huge portion. The turkey necks were peeling off the bone and glistening in a fantastic, sweet and just barely spicy, brown sauce that was also drizzled over a bed of rice; the dinner roll on the side was perfectly soft, easy to peel and share; the sausage pea soup was so good, there were tears coming down my travel pals face (?️), this being the same person who initially figured that she wasn't hungry until I opened up the dinner plate. More please!”

“Great daiquiris, great prices, slow service. The line was more than 10 cars long and the line was moving very slow. I've heard from multiple people that the line is always this way. The blueberry lemonade is the best!!! Update: don't go here if you're pressed for time you can count on waiting at least 20 minutes depending on the line.”

“This place is awesome !!! I was born and raised in the area but now live out of state. When I come visit I always have to make a stop for the best bacon burger ever. It's under new ownership but food is still excellent. The restaurant was very clean and servers were very friendly and accommodating because my wife is gluten free. If I could make one suggestion it would be to have gluten free buns for the burgers, but if you want a great HOMEMADE hamburger go to Chicks!”

“Delicious plate, a large fried fish filet, 4 fried shrimp and 2 mini crab cakes with green salad, roll and cookie. Everything was yummy and for $11.00 it was a great value. I wish it was dine in, but I know the struggle to get waitstaff makes for it's own set of problems. Give them try you will be happy you did.”

“I tried the hot dog my wife & i & yes they are exceptional good the chill was awesome & The Lejeune Buns are a key success for hot dogs. The kicker on the hot dogs is they put plenty of chill you don’t have to ask for extra chill when you phone in your order. This was Tuesday so I said today I try the cheeseburger & fries & a medium drink it was awesome also they make their own meat patties it’s not a patty like Burger King ships in . The Price was good also this combo was $11.31 . I am from New Iberia & I will be back. The service was 15 minutes or less & the employee was nice at the window.”

“My shrimp and crab stew was over the top good. Only a tiny dining area. Price point was right. It's not fancy. U don't pay up for delicious here. Can't wait to go back. It's the perfect place for "date night" lunch if u bring ur own candle, don't mind rubbing elbows with all the local oilfield workers, have an understanding girl who can't get enough legit rice and gravy and u want a candy bar for dessert. “Delicious Italian food here, I got the Tour of Italy, which includes, lasagna, chicken parmigiana and Alfredo. It was a great way to taste multiple dishes and I have to say it was all very good, so cheesy and saucy . The Alfredo was the best, that sauce was amazing and perfect flavor. The red sauces were ok, also the bread was a little hard but all in all a great dinner here. Will definitely come again ! Yum!!
