“Been trying to try this place. I only see the daily specials until I saw the real menu. It's a bit far but it's definitely worth the drive. I ordered take out, got shrimp eggplant and oyster po-boy. The shrimp eggplant is very delicious. The oyster was a bit off putting. My bad ordering oysters during the non-ber months. I still highly recommend this place. Can't wait to be back. The place is cool, very Cajun and service is great.”
“Got stuck working late, didn't even see the place coming into town. Leaving way after dark I turned out of the side street I had been on and saw it immediately. Its a real 50s drive in. Plenty of parking but I think no inside. You walk up to the window to see the menu and order. There is a LOT on the menu. I was the only customer but they were bagging a ton of small orders so I expect they do plenty of call in or grub hub orders. I didn't bother with the menu. This kind of place is for burgers. Just inside a nice lady was wrapping them, and the smell did me in. And I was right. Best burger I've had in 20 years. I have exactly one customer in this town and I can't wait till he breaks something so I can come back. And yes, surprisingly they do take cards. A lot of these places don't. Will find an excuse to go there again, and soon.”
“A Southern classic. Wonderful, welcoming staff.Mixed review on the food:1. We had the shrimp and grits, which were a bit disappointing: underseasoned and overcooked shrimp over soupy grits.2. On the good side, the biscuits were flaky, and the coffee was perfect.Next time I'd stick with the breakfast basics like eggs and ham/bacon/sausage.Rock on, Victor's! See you again soon.”
“I ordered a red bean and fried chicken plate. While i waited for my food customer service was nice. The place is beautiful, food spectacular, atmosphere is kid friendly. 10 out of 10 I would highly recommend!!!”
“Service is respectful and very pleasant. You alway great me with a warm smile and make me feel like you've know me forever. Thanks so much for that you guy's.The food is really tasty. For their price you get a large serving.Sometimes I can only eat a portion of my meal and bring the remainder home. You guys are great and it's alway a pleasure to do business with you all.”
“Stopped in about a month or so ago.. I was passing through this area and had saw a little video with Ricky and Hollywood in it . I stopped in for the French bread and ginger cakes are outstanding. So good.. I love the feeling of this lil bakery in the south.. makes you feel at home and time slows down when u there. It's worth the trip and the nostalgia is awesome... beautiful lil town of jeanerette...”
“Wow! Shrimp Po Boy was amazing! Sometimes the bread can be too hard or crunchy, and this one was on point. Perfectly fried shrimp with a tasty sauce. Fries were also good, crispy and seasoned well.10/10!”
“Our group ate a pre-fixed menu. All was ok. A bit slow, since it was at lunch and they didn't have a separate area for us, so our group had to wait until tables were available. Their regular lunch crowd was very busy so our group was a very long time being fed. Got there at noon and some of us never got fed until 1:45. Food was tasty once we got it. We had made arrangements prior since this was a large tour group.”
“The best little coffee shop around! They always make my coffee exactly how I love it. The atmosphere is also very mellow. Love stopping in & sipping some good coffee here as much as possible! The food is also really good!Kid-friendliness: I often bring in my 3 year old. They always make him a chocolate milk to match moms coffee ?”
“The service was excellent, the server was very helpful and polite! The food came out quickly after ordered! The serving portions are large & the food was really good! Will be back!”
“This place has a huge menu with excellent food. Everything is fresh and well prepared and they have very generous portions. The staff is friendly and service is great. 2 for 1 margaritas and they don't water them down to make up the cost.”
“You will not find better food or the proportions served anywhere else in this little town! They have the biggest best burgers and is all worth the money! Nobody in this town serves the size they do! They have plate lunches fresh everyday and give nice sized proportions as well! Family owned, wonderful and good people! You could never go wrong by stopping in and grab you a bite to eat with the best food in Saint Martinville!”
“We tasted almost all the specialties. It was very good and inexpensive. The owner was kind enough to come and greet us because he speaks French, the waitress was very friendly.”
“Very good Vietnamese food! GO NOW! You won't be disappointed. Friendly service and food was ready quickly. Stopped in for lunch when we were in the area. Would come back if I'm ever in New Iberia again.”
“Good atmosphere and good ole folks like me. Good friend of mine from back in the day owns this place and this was my first time there while visiting family in my hometown. Thanks for the beers Ty”
“We stopped in for breakfast and we were warmly greeted by Michelle. Miles prepared an excellent omelette for us.We highly recommend this restaurant for the good food and great atmosphere!”
“We were visiting and happened to stumble upon this cafe. You can’t run to this place fast enough… by far the best breakfast I have ever had! The staff was amazing and they give you a special “small town” feel! I can’t say enough to express how great this cafe is. The Bayou Boudin Biscuit is amazing!”
“two days ago was our first time in this excellent restaurant. But It is obviously not the last. We passed a splendid evening with the attentive service, with the magnificent food and booze and with the honest charge. We will definitely go back there in a short time.”
“Great place to grab and go. The food was flavored amazingly! Tried to do it again but we were too early.Staff were super friendly! We were newbies to trying craw fish and they gave us some to try and showed us how to do it. Was awesome! The shrimp was amazing!”
“This is one of my favorite restaurants. When you first enter, the food smells great. It tastes even better. The portions are very generous, so much so that I actually get two meals from one. The owner is so nice and friendly and is a pleasure to speak to. He noticed my wife wasn't with me the last two times I visited and inquired about how she was doing. Very thoughtful. I highly recommend GyroHouse Mediterranean.”
“I absolutely loved this food! I went for my first time about 2 months ago and I have recommended it and gone many times since! The service was absolutely amazing and so was the food! The lighting was very soothing as well which helped the whole experience! I love this place and definitely recommend it!”
“Best gumbo in Da Berry. Rice doesn’t stick together. Chicken and sausage are flavorful. Not too salty. Generous portion. Will definitely order gumbo from here twice a month if not more!”
“Great little pizza find in town. Great crust. Ask for more sauce tho! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Only complaint is it's kind of pricey and they close early. Otherwise it's definitely a place for pizza night!”
“Since they moved to their new location in front of Super Walmart on Admiral Doyle New iberia, the food is half of what it used to be at the old location. Opened my quesadilla to find only small pieces of shredded chicken. And the sides we're very little to add to the quesadilla. Very disappointed.Parking: Lots of parking compared to the old location”
“Great daiquiris, great prices, slow service. The line was more than 10 cars long and the line was moving very slow. I've heard from multiple people that the line is always this way. The blueberry lemonade is the best!!! Update: don't go here if you're pressed for time you can count on waiting at least 20 minutes depending on the line.”
“Road stop dining that can't be missed on the way to New Iberia. The gentleman who served up the food and was servicing the window was quick and cooks up a mean barbecue. Huge portion. The turkey necks were peeling off the bone and glistening in a fantastic, sweet and just barely spicy, brown sauce that was also drizzled over a bed of rice; the dinner roll on the side was perfectly soft, easy to peel and share; the sausage pea soup was so good, there were tears coming down my travel pals face (?️), this being the same person who initially figured that she wasn't hungry until I opened up the dinner plate. More please!”
“Amazing selection of daiquiris and free samples stopped in here after having visited the tabaco experience and had a blast chatting with the bar tender and other patrons about things todo in the area. I got a pina colada and rip tide mix which was the perfect combo. A must stop if you're in the area!”
“Great place for fresh, homemade burgers. We are visiting from Houston and looking for locally owned places run by good people... we found it! Definitely worth checking out.”
“Love my latte’s on my way and after school.. The workers are so friendly and fun to be around . Breakfast, brunch and lunch, I’ve tried them all and they’re are all very good!”
