Cafe Du Monde Reviews
We always try to go here when we are in New Orleans. Last weekend we took my niece for her first visit and she left her purse that was filled with all of her makeup. She was so upset because we are 5 hours away and she was starting school this week. I called the next morning and they located the bag and overnighted it to us! What a blessing! That is great customer service.
Visited the Metairie location and they kept the $2 change, the place stunk like bathrooms which were nasty, they refused to serve us on plates, workers were playing with the dough like it wasn’t food. Called the manager who could have didn’t care. Skip this nasty place and visit shipleys instead.
The food was good. Cash Only the service was Bad and restrooms were nasty.

Cafe Du Monde MSY Airport offers a quick and simple experience with a visible prep area. Their beignets are served hot and covered in powdered sugar, and many customers find them sweet, soft, and enjoyable. Some have noted that the beignets are thicker and doughier than those at the original French Quarter location, resembling an elephant ear at a carnival, though with fewer topping choices. The location features a grab-and-go setup with no seating, making it convenient for travelers. Their chicory coffee is often fresh and pairs well with the beignets, while the iced cafe au lait is available but some customers find the American coffee tastes stale. Service is generally friendly, and payments can be made with a debit card, though app pay options are not offered. Despite some mixed reviews on the beignets, this airport spot remains a popular stop for a quick taste of New Orleans, with prices comparable to the original locations.
