We came for dinner during a weeknight because this is reputed to be Lafayette's best restaurant--the closest thing we have to fine dining. The wine list and cocktail menu were superb. I ordered a French 75 off menu and we were all pleased with our drinks. The starters were uninspiring (mushroom ravioli and bacon wrapped shrimp), but our daughter loved her cup of gumbo. This was the absolute best dining experience I've had in my 33 years of life. From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect. The service was unmatched. Our server, Reese, was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and prompt. We will be requesting to be with him every single time we visit in the future. Took my wife there for our 10th anniversary. There was a card on our table that said happy anniversary signed by the staff it was a nice personal touch. It was our first time dining there I’m very happy I picked this place. Great atmosphere loads of history and just the right balance of cozy and class.
