“Found this cozy sushi spot by accident. It's definitely a hidden gem. Very personal service, kind and attentive staff. They start off by serving you a warm towelette to wash up before taking your order. I started with a miso soup and tuna tataki. The menu is extensive, so it took me a bit to decide on a main course. The chef happily gave suggestions. I've never had a "riceless" roll before, but it was amazing and very filling without the over full feeling from too much rice. I finished with a perfectly cut orange or a light dessert. And lastly, another warm towelette to clean up before taking the check. The prices are a bit higher than "average sushi", however, the ingredients were all very fresh looking and tasting along with being beautifully plated, well worth the price for me. I will return here in the future.“

“Best sushi in Laffy! Came for the sushi, stayed for the bartender. They have the freshest tuna for the best price in Lafayette. The male bartender that’s been there for the last few years is the most patient and kind. Always great service at sushi masa <3“

“First time. Never heard of or would have ever found this place without Google. I searched sushi near my job and this came up.The door says take out only. Its a small old non fancy place that obviously focuses on the food only and the gentleman was very kind just making the sushi himself behind a regular wood counter like he was at home, so I had a feeling it was going to be good. It was. I went simple with the Calif roll and Shrimp tempura roll only because the website does not say what is in the others. He showed me how to find that online.I also had the eggplant/shrimp w/ miso. It really was what I would imagine eating at a friends home in Japan would be by a mom who's been making sushi all her life.I look forward to trying more rolls in the future.“

“The service is great and the food is fresh. However, they are over priced $90 for two people. Here's what we had: 1 tempura roll 1 spring roll ( you get 4 rolls and they are very small) 2 waters and 2 chicken hibachi. Tip is added to the bill at 18% however, the % is after tax. So, basically they make you tip on tax too. Although the food is good, it's not worth the price.“

“Great place! Nice little hidden gem! We came in on a Sunday at 3:00pm for an early dinner. Everything in the shopping center was closed beside Kirin and we were the only customers the whole time we were there. The inside is small and doesn't seem like much but we were impressed. The seafood was cooked perfectly and they flavors were spot on. The wait was minimal and the services was great. We didn't really care for bottled drinks but the food outweighed that con. We are new to this side of Lafayette/Youngsville so we are excited to have a place to get a delicious meal. Highly recommend“

“I highly recommend this place for good quality sushi at a fair price. This is not upscale dining, casual attire is fine. The food is fresh and atmosphere inviting and friendly. Great for lunch or dinner. This establishment has been around for a long time, which testifies to the quality product they deliver.“

“This is my second time here. I really enjoy their food and the sushi is delicious also. I pricing is good and more affordable than most locations in the lafayette area. I also enjoy their packaging of the food. It so nice. These are hard working family trying to make a living. Reminds me of my parents. Their kids are also good helping their parents out in the front while their parents make the food. I've been to some of these so call high end restaurants that are hyped up. Food are garbage ,overpriced, and they don't put attention into packaging. But to me the mom and pop shop are the one who are winners !!“

“Great place for casual meet up with friends at any time of the day. Although do not try to come after 9:30pm because the kitchen will be closed. My friends ordered a beef Pho and they brought a huge bowl of soup, which could have easily served for two people. Sides for the pho included bean sprouts, dill, fresh jalapenos, cilantro, and lime. I ordered beef Yakisoba for myself. If you're not a big fan of broccoli, just ask the kitchen staff not to include it in the dish. We also ordered chicken fried rice, which tastes even better with teriyaki sauce. As for the appetizers, each of us got a small bowl of miso soup. I would not recommend this place for deserts though, as every desert option is fried.“

“The food tasted great but the service was a little lacking. I had to remind the server about my order. I honestly think they forgot about it. Myhusband didn't receive his complete order. We wanted to order dessert but the server just gave us our bill without asking if we were ready. The Bon Aimis roll is fantastic. My margarita was great.“

“We celebrated our son's birthday this evening and the food was fantastic! The server, Yingling, was so friendly and energetic, all needs were met promptly and with a smile! I never take pics of food, but I made an exception tonight, just art work! We'll definitely be going back soon!“

“I still dream about this sushi -- what an amazing meal and experience! I would recommend this to anyone -- they're imaginative, but not in a way that compromises flavor or quality. They try new things (hello Doritos in sushi!), but also make sure that their product is top notch. Don't sleep on this place - go!“
