Laura's Two is one of the best plate lunch spots in Southwest Louisiana. The staff is kind and efficient, and the gravy over white rice is a piece of perfection. The rice dressing "dirty rice" is crafted with love, and the sweet potatoes are done right. The food is excellent, with great Cajun flavors and giant portions. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the wait staff is super friendly, keeping customers laughing. It's a local, old-school Creole cafe where everyone is on a first-name basis, and you immediately feel welcome. The menu changes daily, so be sure to call ahead, but Wednesday's red beans and rice are a must-try.
