“Wonderful wonderful establishment! Old world atmosphere and wonderful food! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit for dinner. The food was very good. We had chicken parmesian, spinach salad, glass of wine, and bread pudding. All delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere is charming, business casual attire at least because it's a nice place, piano music playing, charming. The crepe myrtle tree in the front is something else!! Gigantic! Anyway a must stop if you're wanting Italian.“

“Mandez’s is where we chose to have a much needed and overdue date night. Our waitress went above and beyond. We ordered the seafood nachos for an appetizer. Amazing! I ordered the crab cake dinner with a side of eggplant fries and a side salad with the pepper jelly vinaigrette. Crab cakes were flaky and cooked to perfection. Eggplant fries were crispy and not greasy. paired so well with the dip. Side salad was fresh , pepper jelly vinaigrette had the right amount of zing., and the pickled okra was the chef’s kiss! My husband ordered the shrimp basket and had no complaints. We loved that the dining area was small but well laid out. Great atmosphere! I can’t speak of the bathrooms because I didn’t need to use them while there. Definitely recommend!“

“I met my family for lunch today after I had gotten off of work early. The last time I had food at this location (drive thru), there was an issue with it. I waited a while until I returned. The same issue happened again today. The manager, Shawn, immediately came to apologize to me at the table. He had fresh food come out to me super quick. He also returned to check on us, gave us a gift card, and said that he hoped we would return to give this location another chance. A bad situation that was turned into a positive one.. thanks to Shawn for effectively displaying great service recovery! I will definitely be returning!“

“We went to Mel’s on Johnston St. this past Saturday. It was busier than usual but there was a visiting football team and their supporters in town. The crowd was loud, but everyone seemed happy. The food came out hot and was very fast! The food and the service was excellent! We love Mel’s and had another great experience!“

The new owner is obviously putting his entire heart and soul to not only the establishment but also to customer service and concern.

“New favorite pizza place!!!! Me and my fiancée normally go to Central as our pizza spot but didn’t because it was closed on Sunday. So we tried La Pizzeria because of the new times on Sunday we were able to try this amazing place. I genuinely loved the service our waitress was sooo nice and welcoming. The food was really good, definitely not stingy with cheese or toppings at all. We loved the atmosphere and we were definitely satisfied with price!! Definitely will be back more!!!“

“With the new buffet, we decided to come for dinner. Although we were outside of the buffet hours, we decided to dine in with our pizza. We had an excellent experience from start to finish and every employee I interacted with was very polite and a pleasure to speak with. The wings, breadsticks, and pizza were phenomenal- seriously, whoever was frying the wings at 7pm on Monday, May 12, deserves an award. That is the best wing I’ve ever had, even from real wing joints. The pizza was fresh and crispy, and so was the bread. An absolute pleasure this evening. I’m so glad Pizza Hut has brought back dine-in, and if you’re not dining in, you’re missing out!“
