“The best Lo Mein I've ever had. I won't even eat Lo Mein at any other restaurant anymore because it never comes close to being as good as City Cafe. I can honestly say that anything I've ever eaten here is delicious and trust me I've tried just about everything on the menu. Not to mention the fact that the owners are so nice and the prices are very reasonable.”

“Traveling across country. Googled highly rated restaurants and this came up. Don’t be deceived by the size of the building. I had the roast beef PoBoy with gravey. So delicious gravey, roast beef and the soft bun. Stop here it’s very good.”

“Been eating at Ma Mama’s for past 4 years multiple times per month, mostly lunch time. I have never had a bad dish and have tried the whole menu. I have traveled the world and eaten at some amazing restaurants, Ma Mama’s is my favorite for Louisiana cooking in the Baton Rouge area. Service can be slower at times, but never experienced rudeness. I enjoy the occasional new item on the menu to try new tastes. I will continue to enjoy a wonderful dining experience at Ma Mama’s.”

“So I had to come here to say… I just had the best lunch! I kept hearing people talk about “Big Boys” is now serving BBQ. So I decided to try it. I ordered the “Ginnie Sandwich.” It had sausage, pulled pork, and brisket… It was huge, and soooo good! Every bite was amazing!!! It’s a must try! I wish I would have taken a picture before eating it, but couldn’t wait! ☺️☺️”

“It was like taking a step back in time. I am confident that I was at Buche's 55 summers ago enjoying a burger and fries and I was there today without Rod Serling in Twilight Zone enjoying the same. The floors, walls and ceiling are still the same. Same pictures are hanging depicting a simpler time. Mrs. Buche wasn't tending bar or flipping burgers and Mr.Willie was not in his rocker in the corner behind the bar, but I nodded hello anyway. It was a great deal then and the food is still a bargain - comparing quality and quantity versus price. The visit brought back old memories of good times and good friends.”

They serve a homemade burger called the Bengal Burger and it is SO GOOD, all of the food is ❤️ Phone orders taken, grest customer service and a comfortable dine-in are available. “KENYA at SUBWAY did a really good job making my sandwiches (3). The sandwiches were really delicious! She was listening to me and was very calm when making the sandwiches. I asked her numerous times to do things a little late and she did a terrific job filing those requests late.I told her to add salt/pepper, apply avocado, and even oil late by accident, and she was very calm and skillful in figuring out solutions for TERRIFIC customer service!I would definitely ask for her to make my sandwiches when I go to New Roads Walmart again!”

“The fried chicken, fried shrimp, & fried onions rings are wonderful! We pick up at Island Landing at least once a week. Our picky 11 year old loves the fried chicken & the fried shrimp. Friendly service too!”

“Pretty solid spot if you’re craving a ton of Chinese food. They got all the classics, general Tso’s, lo mein, jalapeño chicken and everything was fresh. Services was chill and the place was clean. Come in the morning when it first open for the freshest food. Definitely more option on the to-go menus. Not fancy, but definitely hits the spot.”

“Fast and friendly service. Food is always hot and fresh. I have burned my fingers and mouth several times. The employees are always nice even when they are super busy. Restaurant and bathrooms are always clean. Probably the best McDonalds I have ever been to!”
