“The atmosphere was wonderfully quiet and serene... looking out onto the water while eating was beautiful! The ambience perfect. The food was fantastic. I enjoyed stone crab claws, luckily in season, while my friend had turtle soup followed by a shrimp dish that was delicious. We could not have been happier! This restaurant was superb and I would recommend it to everyone to dine here!“

“Today, we drove to Covington to try Turgeau's. What an absolute delight! They have a section of the menu that is called Gluten-Feee, Cross-Contact Safe. In addition to being a gluten-free celiac, I'm also dairy free. I was able to have biscuits, a lovely turkey and avocado sandwich, and a raspberry lemon oatmeal pie. The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable. If you are only gluten sensitive, not celiac, there are even more items available to you beyond the section pictured below. Go check this place out as soon as possible!“

“We have been about 6 times with friends and everyone loved everything we tried. The food is fresh with multiple layers of flavor. The negative ratings are about service or wait times. (Which we have not had a problem with) But the food is what matters! I recommend the poblano rice and plantains as sides. Nachos as an appetizer or entree because it is not a hunk of cheese melted on old repeatedly fried chips we find everywhere else. The guacamole is the best I have ever had. But, as a dessert gal, I have tried them all and there is not one I would not get againm(hint: the chocolate cake with flan on top is my favorite)“

My first was at a Slidell location nearly a decade back, but it was a lackluster experience. This time was much, much better, and I'll definitely return soon! Anyway, we arrived shortly after open and didn't have to wait to be seated. Our server was friendly and helpful, and we both went for the never-ending pasta. We both enjoyed a soup and some bread sticks, followed then by various pasta and sauces. She ended up eating two plates of pasta, and I had three. We both left extremely full and satisfied. I often leave restaurants feeling like I didn't get my money's worth, but I definitely got my money's worth here! Seriously, I ate more than I would've at a Chinese buffet. “Just went here for the first time with my daughter. I had the AMAZING Nutella French Toast for breakfast with Lavender Iced Coffee. Daughter had the breakfast combo with the Beast Mode energized tea. I highly recommend them. Cole was awesome, friendly and attentive.“
