“This is really good best place, go lots, really helps on hot days, I usually get chicken sandwich and fries, best fries i've ever had, perfectly cooked all the time, 2nd best chicken sandwich being popeyes, place looks untouched from like the late 70's but really nostalgic and lovable. Everything from this place is good, even the hot dogs which I don't really like like I used to was pretty good, outdoor seating, love this place.”

“Can’t make a new post so commenting on this one. We got a pepperoni pizza, a cheese pizza, bread sticks, cinnamon sticks and order of spaghetti Saturday night, Sept 3. Our pizzas were burnt, the cinnamon sticks were hard as a rock and the spaghetti was cold. My son in law didn’t look at the pizzas but asked the guy at the window why the spaghetti was cold. He told him it came out of the back in a fridge so he could heat it at home. Enclosed is a picture of two little pieces of pepperoni and two cinnamon sticks. Johnny’s is usually great but not Saturday”

“Dora was very friendly and we got what we ordered. I don't think I'll order the shrimp again, they were just OK. The sides were great - green beans, mac n cheese & beans. I should have got what my friends ordered - chopped chicken sandwich, ribs or a burger - they were all good! Room holds about 8 tables. Note they no longer have fried okra.”

“I have been there several times and most of my experiences have been wonderful! I can’t say they all have because they’re not robots and everybody has a bad day. And the ones who say they’ve been there 15 or 20 times and had good experiences and all of a sudden they went and had bad food, well I say a that’s a better review than I could give even though they were trying to be ugly my commonsense kicked in. Let’s face it the only man that came down to this earth that was perfect was Jesus! We are gonna have bad cooking days and we’re all gonna have bad waiter days. I love this restaurant. “One of my favorite little places to eat when I have to work in Bastrop. The food is on par with most Chinese buffet style places. It's always fresh, the atmosphere is clean and quiet. What makes this place very special are the two young ladies who waitress there. They'll make you feel like you've known them for years. Just wanted to say thank you to the ownership for the delicious eats, and to the two young ladies that always brighten my day when I go there. If you're ever in Bastrop stop in you won't regret it.”

“Atmosphere isn’t perfect but isn’t absolutely terrible. Sometimes quick with orders but sometimes extremely slow or even out of food. Managers could be better and little stricter. Sometimes people have to pull around and wait an extra 10 minutes before they can get their food. Food is always good, burgers are untouched by any other place I the city.”
