“This place was great ! Tessy was super nice , it was my first time trying out a new pizza spot. I just moved from Montana so I really didn’t know what’s good here. I walked in and at first I was a little iffy because no one said hello. A young woman cleaning the tables stopped walked around and introduced her self and helped me understand the concept. Which I love ! It’s like a self make pizza place. Great customer service ! Pizza was amazing !“

“10/10 every time! The food and overall experience at the Grotto at the Golden Nugget is always amazing—especially the meatballs and marinara. The atmosphere is perfect: relaxing, quiet, and ideal for enjoying a good meal and great conversation with friends, but the real gem is Hannah, and the reason we choose Grotto every time we visit GNLC. She is an exceptional server, always friendly, polite, attentive, and truly makes every visit feel welcoming and enjoyable. Outstanding service, great food, and a consistently wonderful experience!“

“It’s very “Louisiana” in here and very much so giving “Cheers” vibes. The hubs and I loved our first visit, and one of first few dinners in Lake Charles spent trying out this local gem. Upon looking at the mixed reviews, I admittedly had mixed feelings. But, the movers recommended that we stop by so that’s exactly what we did. We cozied up to the bar, met a few regulars, and had an amazing night of laughs and great food at Cajun’s Wharf. The plan was to check it out and go unnoticed, but that was not the case. It appears that you can’t go inside and not make friends here. Hence, the earlier Cheers reference. TK is a stone-faced sweetheart (but, shhh… I don’t think she wants anyone to know), took excellent care of us, and gave perfect recommendations.
Sidebar: We were so close to trying “backstrap” as noted and seconded by everyone in earshot, but they were out. Next time, for sure. (Because… when in Rome, you clearly eat backstrap! lol)

But, back to what we did try. The duck tenders, the eggs rolls (boudin version), the fried catfish and shrimp were all delish, seasoned well of course, and came out quickly.

The daily specials were also appealing, and we’ll definitely be back as I want to try a burger.

P.S.— I love that they have Crown Peach.

“The Guac Amigos and the Boba are both phenomenal. The staff is so friendly and the food is fresh and delicious. I love that they offer free samples of the boba because I've tried things that I would have never thought I'd enjoy. I'm a big fan of the strawberry yogurt drink with the blueberry boba and I tried the mocha milk tea today and it was soo tasty. The food is super affordable too! I'll definitely be back.“

“I know this is late ... But it was so good looking we couldn't wait . I really wish I got his name , but the guy with braces up there who's apparently about to be the manager so I heard . He made our pizzas absolutely perfect , I usually don't like little Caesars because they never make the pizzas with love . But this guy has made our pizzas perfect the last two times we have went . Cheese actually all the way to the crust , and didn't over load our pizza with sauce . Toppings were beautifully spaced out . I worked for pizza hut for years and took pride making pizzas , and this guy is for sure doing it right !!!“

“Worst pizza ever! Even the kids didnt like it! Need to turn down the top oven the stuffed crust cheese wasnt even melty most boiled out from the high temp and so over cooked no cheese pull at all the kids refused to eat it after 1 bite total waist of 50 dollars on inedible pizzas.
On a good note while trying to order the pizza on the app and it messed up they helped me over the phone so I guess they are at least good at that just not cooking pizza“
