I booked Easter brunch for my family of 4. We always try to support new businesses. After reading a write up on Eater, we took a chance. Sadly, it was sub par. My sons pancakes were over cooked. 3 of the 4 meals came out and then we waited and waited for another. We were told it was bc the waffle was not to chefs liking but when it finally came, it was chewy and hard to eat. We were a party of three on a Saturday evening. The place is cute! The staff was great and was able to answer our questions and accommodate various requests. I had the lavender passion fruit lemonade, which was blended perfectly. Not too sour, not too sweet. For the entrée I had the Dumaine Treat. You can choose to have your catfish grilled or fried for this. I chose grilled. It was delicious! The pasta? Flavorful and creamy. The shrimp? Huge! Atmosphere and people very cordial..Food good , but portion very skimpy...I ordered an omelet and got no bread. When the cook brought the omelets out , I asked for bread ; he brought some he had grilled. As I said , lovely place , but not the place to go if you are hungry.
