Pete Scherer was my great uncle. I remember when I was a little girl my great grandma (Pete's sister, Irene) and my nanny (Eileen) used to take me to the bar to see Uncle Pete every Saturday after dancing school. It really is great to see that the place he loved so much is still open. ❤
The best neighborhood bar I’ve ever been to, it’s a great community, everyone is very welcoming. A lot of neighborhood spots you walk in and it’s like the record skips and everyone turns around. Not Pete’s! Speaking of records they have a vintage jukebox with great broad selection. It’s old school, nobody paying extra to skip ahead of you, no one playing the same Drake song on repeat.
