Says open isn't even there

We've got a confirmed (!) reservation in August 2018 and were very surprised that the restaurant is currently closed! So it was a very annoying experience with the Crazy Lobster.

Crazy Lobster was a false advertisement. They were not in service, open, repaired, replaced, or available to the public. The number that was provided on the website did not work. Being from another state that was very upsetting.

DO NOT make a reservation here. The restaurant is actually closed! I bought a Groupon and made a reservation for my boyfriend's birthday during our recent trip to New Orleans only to discover accidentally on the day of my reservation that the restaurant is closed due to construction in the surrounding area. This restaurant should NOT be available to book on OpenTable right now and should at least notify people that their reservations cannot be honored.

We made a reservation through open table and drove in from Kentucky. The river walk was being redone and multiple people who held reservations for this restaurant and with signs posted all over that said “Come I'm in-we're still open” nope they weren't. Could you get a hold of anyone? No. Were they blocked off on open table? No. Severely disappointed.

Cannot do a review on this restaurant because it was closed for renovations when we were scheduled to eat there. No one seams to have knowledge about the restaurant otherwise we would not have waisted out time.

We bought a groupon and made a reservation with Open Table but the restaurant was permanently closed. Fortunately we called the head office and they directed us to another restaurant that accepted our Groupon and made us a reservation. I feel like open table should have known this place is permanently closed

Took my granddaughter there for a surprise dinner. We were surprised alright!! The Restaurant was closed for business, all the walkways were blocked off with construction. No notices were put up anywhere. There was no mention of them being closed on their facebook page. It was impossible to find another place to get reservations on same day notice on a busy Saturday night. Very disappointed.

So we made a reservation for this place on Open Table. And when we showed up it was closed. A very disappointing night in that we were on vacation in Nola and wasted a couple hours getting down there only to find out it was out of business/closed. Make sure to call them to see if they are open.

We went to the restaurant, with a reservation, only to find out they were shut down 2 days prior. They did not contact us in any way to let us know that they were closed. They were also still allowing people to purchase a groupon for the restaurant, which you are unable to use.

The place was closed when we arrived for our reservation....called several times and didn't get anyone on the phone. The place is a crap hole after having trying to go there and seeing all the other bad reviews I would definitely not recommend this to anyone. As it was the worst and biggest disappoint of my trip!

We made a reservation thru opentable and arrived to find out that the restaurant had closed the day prior so we were disappointed to have planned accordingly only to find that our efforts were in vain.

As soon as I approached this restaurant I knew we'd made the wrong choice for our evening out. The outside was run down & looked abandoned. Against better judgement I sat down anyhow. I ordered their special cocktail (Poppy's voodoo juice) which they are supposed to be known for. They were out of it. So I ordered a hurricane. It was the worst hurricane I'd ever had. The inside of the restaurant was worse than the outside -- run down, dirty, looked like it hadn't had a deep cleaning since it opened. Bathrooms were filthy. The 2 people I was dining with felt the same way. We quickly decided to cut our losses, pay for our drinks & be on our way to a different restaurant. So glad we did b/c we ended up having a marvelous meal elsewhere. In fairness we did not try the food, however I doubt I could have stomached the food based on the grimy, grease laden surroundings...I can only imagine what their kitchen looks like! Don't waste your time here. It's sad b/c it's a fantastic location & could be an incredible restaurant. If you are looking for fantastic food and a place with a view go to Landry's!!

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT EXCEPT HAVING NO SEA FOOD AVAILABLE AT THE TIME WE ATE THERE. THE BRIGHTEST THING WAS OUR WAITER NAMED JERMAINE. HE IS A GREAT ASSET TO THIS RESTAURANT. WITHOUT HIS EXPERTISE OUR FIRST VISIT THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A DUMPSTER FIRE.

Entire area around the restaurant was under construction. Everyone who was coming into the restaurant was confused. The hostess acted like we shouldn't be there and we had reservations which they could care less about. They did not have a full menu and mentioned they were closing down. Waitress was friendly but was doing double duty with bartending and our table so we didn't see her much. If you are visiting NO, skip this not so good experience! Believe the reviews!!
