“SO happy to have the outstanding sushi place in my neighborhood now. We've only gotten takeout a few times thus far but have thoroughly enjoyed everything. The seafood salad I had last night was absolute perfection, and we've settled on the caterpillar roll being our collective fave.
I love that even the regular rolls feel special though and if course that it's all fresh as can be. Can't wait to go back and hope to get to be a regular for a long time.

“The very first time I came to Sushi Village was in November of 2013. I was working on a movie in New Orleans. Several of the crew members took me to all you can eat sushi dinner.

The restaurant is located in a strip mall in Metairie, Louisiana. Upon entering we were greeted with a friendly gesture from the sushi chef. Being from Japan I appreciated that.

I've had amazing sushi all over the world. I was expecting decent but rather pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. The fish tasted fresh and the rice was perfectly done.

I instantly became a huge fan. I'm not that far away in Florida. It's worth the few hours of driving to savor the delicacies. I'm spreading the word to all my friends here. See you soon.“

“I ordered a chicken salad, salad, there was a 4.50 upcharge. It was amazing and extra large. We got three servings from it. Delicious with blueberries and strawberries on a bed of lettuce. It was expensive but excellent and very large. My bill with ice tea was about $25.00.“

“Chef Trevor is the kindest! The sushi is Amazing! I recently visited The restaurant for dinner after a long day of school my grandkids. And work myself. We were told by the hostess that there was an hour wait and that there was barely anywhere to sit so she advises that we could sit at the bar which we did the sushi bar that is. After waiting for some time Chef Trevor noticed that we were not being really engaged. He then asked me if the kids and I would like something to drink so what you said yes the hostess one of the waiters chef Trevor’s prompting, served us drinks as well as kept our cups filled Thank you! we were very grateful for the kindness that was bestowed upon us. The Hostess. After advising of the long wait, didn’t offer a drink of water nothing. Never engaged, never updated nothing. It was busy so I didn’t panic. We just waited. “Ordered from Uber eats, didn't have high expectations but it was amazing!! The sushi rice was perfect! The rolls were fresco and delicious and they got or order completely correct!!“

“This is my go-to spot for sushi in the city. While there are several more premium options for sushi, they come with premium price tags. None of them hold a candle to Origami in terms of value. The menu here is extensive, so it will be easy to find something for everyone in your party. The rolls are pretty standard, but all are good. Their nigiri in particular stands out for being excellent yet being almost half the price of some of the other more hyped sushi locations in the city. Their cocktails are great as well.“

The space is plentiful and it wasn’t very busy.

I ordered Shrimp Spring Rolls and they were decent. Plenty of shrimp and the peanut sauce was good. Lot of noodle filling but I prefer mine with extra herbs anyway so low expectations there. Accompaniments were fresh slices jalapeños, bean sprouts, basil, cilantro and lime wedges.

I ordered Rare Eye Round, Brisket and Meatball Pho. The rare eye round didn’t come out by itself .. it was already cooked well in the pho. The broth itself wasn’t as flavorful as I would prefer but after fixing it some, it really wasn’t bad. You get two meatballs cut into halves and the brisket was blah.

I will visit again if I’m at the same hotel.“

“The pork belly was delicious and so was the snowcrab salad! The sushi was super fresh and I was amazed at the prices. There were so many things on the menu that I wanted to try! Wheelchair accessibility: Disabled parking spots are all right next to the ramp. Ramp isn’t far from the door. Sushi bar only has stair access, but they give you a sushi menu.“

“Easily one of the best sushi experiences I’ve had in a long time. The fish was incredibly fresh—every piece melted in your mouth and was clearly prepared with care and precision.

“The food is great and the service is good...provided you don't arrive within an hour of closing. If you do, you will likely be told they are out of rice, fish, water, etc. I waited tables through college and I get that people who come in 10 minutes before a restaurant closes are the worst, but the staff here shuts down seating earlier than anywhere I've ever known. If they truly don't want to conduct business after a certain time, then they should close an hour earlier or simply clearly post a house policy stating no seating past a certain time rather than lie to repeat patrons.“
