“My first visit here - just had the lentil soup and bahklava. Both were EXCELLENT. The lentil soup has a very nice flavor - fairly strong curry/cumin flavor, that compliments the flavor of the lentils very nicely. Fantastic.

The bakhlava is wonderful. Sweet but not too sweet. Layered, with just the right amount of pistachios and honey. At $1.99 for a nice-sized triangular piece, this is excellent.

“Our first visit there and my only regret was not showing up with more hungry. The hummus and bread is delicious. I had the Almasgoof kebab and my wife had the lamb chops. Everything was delicious. The rice has a wonderful flavor of what tasted like cinnamon, saffron and maybe cumin.“

“We live in Alabama and came to New Orleans for the weekend to see family. Hands down the best pizza we’ve ever had!!!! Super cheesy, not too greasy, cooked just right! Our waitress was so sweet and talked with our 4 year old, I wish I would have gotten her name, she left half way through us being there and the waiter that took over was just as sweet! I told him I need them to come open a store in lower Alabama and if not imma have to make the 4-5 hour drive once a month just for the pizza😂“

“My wife and I have really grown to love the Metairie Carrabba’s. When it originally opened years ago, we went once and were not impressed so despite leaving nearby we never went back. A friend mentioned it maybe 6-months ago and she swore it was pretty good so we gave it another chance and we are glad we did. We now maybe go 3 times or so a month. We had one problem with a server lately and I asked for a manager and Blake promptly solved the issue and took care of us the rest of the night. The food has always been very good, the service pretty quick and the bar service very good too. Our two favorite servers are Mel and Sara but with the exception of that one night the service has always been great too. I recommend Carrabba’s for a dinner for two or a small group of friends. Their “wine dinners” are also a hit for us. It’s nice to have somewhere close to home that you know is rock solid on the food & service. Thanks to Blake and his team!“

“Gentleman that took my order over the phone was very helpful and professional. My order was ready when I arrived to pick it up just over 10 minutes later and the food was delicious. I ordered a fried shrimp poboy and the bread was super fresh, the shrimp were perfectly cooked and seasoned, nice size and well portioned. I also ordered a side of fries and they were plentiful, crispy and well seasoned. Highly recommend. Great neighborhood spot!“

The onsite restaurant is out of this world in selection and taste, I eat here at least twice a week and have never had anything even a bit off. “We were over the top with the entire meal. We started with the sampler appetizer and it was amazing. I had spaghetti and meatballs with the Italian house salad and my fiance had the meatball poboy. Everything was amazing and so delicious and the service was excellent. “So I thought I wanted a PoBoy… this is my second time in New Orleans and felt obligated to get the local sandwich staple. However this little HOLE IN THE WALL spot came highly recommended. When I walked in I was overwhelmed and the cashier helped me pick the perfect order. I decided to pivot and do a Banh Mi, and I got the Bugolgi Banh mi and it was incredible! Let’s face it a banh mi and a PoBoy are essentially the same thing. Let’s start with the spring rolls, paired with a nice peanut sauce. The sandwich itself was so flavorful and just the right amount of food. It’s pretty much outside seating only if you want to eat there so just know that going in.“

“I just want to take a minute to send a shout out to the best restaurant in Metairie and share our experience the other night. We had just rearranged our flights to leave key west and get home a day early due to hurricane Milton when we came straggling in completely exhausted, hungry, and looking a complete mess. We got to the restaurant at approx 9:10 knowing the restaurant closes at 9:30 but desperately hoping they could accommodate us. We were told that they had already started cleaning the kitchen and unsure if they would be able to serve us. After getting the green light to go ahead if we could order quickly, we were met with nothing but kindness, great service, and of course amazing food. It would’ve been very easy for them to have turned us away or treated us like the burden that we knew we were but instead we were given a soft place to fall to breathe a sigh of relief we were home and fill our bellies with the most amazing food after not eating all day. We cannot thank everyone enough and look forward to our next visit and promise we will make it in at a much more decent time next time.“

“New Orleans is nortorius for not separating checks. I find this very inconvenient to the customer especially when you have party larger than two. Then it's very embarrassing to see customers passing the hat to pay for their portion of the meal with cash trying to figure out tax and tip. Everywhere I've been, there is no problem separating checks. I've been to New Orleans and requested separate checks and the waiters seem confused and then it becomes a huge delay. It's sad this restuarant has good food and atmosphere with this type of service and doesn't make it easy for customers to do business with them. They make easy for themselves but not for the customers. Go figure“

“Stopped here while passing through on vacation. Amanda was amazing. She answered all our questions about the area. We choose this restaurant because the small poor-boys were a perfect size for our kids for lunch. We were really impressed with quality of the food. They had so many poor-boy options, the girls all found one they liked, and the roast beef was phenomenal. The the seafood platter was perfect, and the crawfish balls were one of the best crawfish items I ever ate. We'll be back when we get back to the area. Give them a try. Amazing!“

Super friendly and sweet! drink never ran out before I had another sitting beside it. I ordered the fried craw claws and the swamp platter. It was all cooked fresh and came out very quick. Seasoning was on point! very large portions (no chance you're leaving hungry) This is the first restaurant in the area I give a 10 out of 10. let's face it most NOLA restaurants rush food in and out and season just enough to get by because of the tourists! “We have enjoyed their food for many years, however something has changed. Their enchiladas are no longer the same. The last time we got them they were raw tortillas with meet inside and some sauce on top. There weren't placed in an oven and covered with sauce and cheese like they use to be. It's disgusting to serve something like this to customers. We will be looking elsewhere unless this changes.“
