“We just ate Vincent’s in Metaire. It was amazing from start to finish. My wife and I along with my ten month old walked in on a busy Saturday nite. They were so happy to see us and I could tell they were super busy. We did not have a reservation and they found a way to seat us. Nate was at the table quickly. I was thankful because no doubt he was double sat and he was really happy to help us. We ordered five courses and the chef was at our table before the second course to make sure we were happy. The oysters Rockefeller and artichoke Vincent were perfectly flavored . Of course we had the signature crab and corn bisc in a bread bowl as well as the crawfish bisc . Both were fantastic. That bread bowl and bisc should be considered a must. If you haven’t experienced it I’m not sure I can consider your local. It’s amazing!The Italian salad is a perfect mix of olive heaven for any Italian looking for something that reminds him or her of Sunday dinner at your Nona’s house. The Osso Bucco is rich and a labor of love for the chef because it’s the best I’ve ever had. Demi gloss is almost as good as the veal but I’m splitting Angel hair even trying to pick what was better. Dessert menu was packed with classics and the tiramisu must have been made in heaven because the lady fingers and butter cream had me needing a bigger belt when I left. Nate our waiter sped up our courses so our infant wouldn’t get restless and took time to talk with us even though his section was obviously full. He laughed with us and found a way to let us know about the menu in every way with out ever interrupting our conversation. 5 stars for chef 5 stars for Vincent’s and 5 stars for Nate. Thanks for making us feel welcome even with our baby which was the cherry on top for me and my wife.“

“First hands down shortstop is #1 in po-boys i guarantee it beings that it's the longest place I've eaten my po-boys beings my grandparents lived i grew up 4809 Eagle st one block over I remember my mom and Dem sending me there to make groceries before they were a football shot they were a grocery store they did sandwiches in the back are on the side but then they went to all po-boys can't say I blame them best in the city and surrounding area they're good in quality quantity hospitality and service but let me just say this the people in there are sweet and kind is going to be and most respectful give them the utmost please and yes sometimes you'll catch one who may have a slight attitude but just know there's nothing towards you and it's nothing personal 2 minutes later they'll be the sweetest soul there is you got to understand that human too yeah but that's very rare short stop is apart of the city I don't know how my life would have been without them seriously there not just a restaurant they treat you like family especially if you are a regular and always come in there oh and I say this for me and most of everybody I know that goes there this is for the tourist and those who have never really been there you can not have a shortstop poor boy without a barques root beer I guarantee you and da family will pass a good time oh and yes I wanted to add it is a very family orientated and family environment again with all due respect is mind your manners and you will fall In love enjoy chef Mac“

“We were over the top with the entire meal. We started with the sampler appetizer and it was amazing. I had spaghetti and meatballs with the Italian house salad and my fiance had the meatball poboy. Everything was amazing and so delicious and the service was excellent. Our waitress was so sweet and talked with our 4 year old, I wish I would have gotten her name, she left half way through us being there and the waiter that took over was just as sweet! “We have enjoyed their food for many years, however something has changed. Their enchiladas are no longer the same. The last time we got them they were raw tortillas with meet inside and some sauce on top. There weren't placed in an oven and covered with sauce and cheese like they use to be. It's disgusting to serve something like this to customers. We will be looking elsewhere unless this changes.“

“New Orleans is nortorius for not separating checks. I find this very inconvenient to the customer especially when you have party larger than two. Then it's very embarrassing to see customers passing the hat to pay for their portion of the meal with cash trying to figure out tax and tip. Everywhere I've been, there is no problem separating checks. I've been to New Orleans and requested separate checks and the waiters seem confused and then it becomes a huge delay. It's sad this restuarant has good food and atmosphere with this type of service and doesn't make it easy for customers to do business with them. They make easy for themselves but not for the customers. Go figure“

Super friendly and sweet! drink never ran out before I had another sitting beside it. I ordered the fried craw claws and the swamp platter. It was all cooked fresh and came out very quick. Seasoning was on point! very large portions (no chance you're leaving hungry) This is the first restaurant in the area I give a 10 out of 10. let's face it most NOLA restaurants rush food in and out and season just enough to get by because of the tourists! There are 2 condiments/toppings I can not stand and will ruin anything I eat because you can’t just wipe it off and that Sour cream and MUSTARD!!!!! I can not figure out how “Mayo, Lettuce and Ketchup ONLY” translates to MUSTARD, Lettuce and Ketchup!!!! The words Mustard and Mayo don’t even begin to sound the same except for the M. And it wasn’t a little mustard. The bun was SOAKED with it. Call them and wanted me to come back in so they could remake it while the rest of my family’s can eat theirs. I’m glad they didn’t put it on my 6yrs olds burger!!!!“
