“While waiting for my order, I noticed what I can only describe as a fully organized, pay-per-view level chicken fight happening in the back corner of the restaurant. At least six people were circled around with cash in hand like it was the featherweight championship of the South. I’m not saying there was a referee, but there was definitely crowd control.
Meanwhile, my hashbrowns were scattered, smothered, and covered to absolute perfection. The staff acted like this was just a normal Tuesday, which honestly made it even better. No one blinked. Coffee was still flowing. Orders were still being called. Chickens were apparently settling their differences.
5 stars“
“I went to Waffle House at 11:47 PM for a simple All-Star Special and ended up witnessing what can only be described as “WWE: Breakfast Edition.” Two guys started arguing over who ordered scattered hashbrowns, and within seconds it turned into a full-blown wrestling match near the jukebox — which, by the way, was blasting loud rap music like it was the official soundtrack to the chaos.
Meanwhile, a waitress got into an argument with a customer about whether “extra crispy” means “burnt.” Not only did she hold her ground, she WON. I don’t know how, but by the end of it, the customer apologized and tipped her. Iconic behavior.
At one point somebody dramatically announced they had a loaded gun in their car (why is there always that one guy?), and somehow that still wasn’t the most intense thing happening in the restaurant. Don’t worry ... no shots fired, just waffles served.
Through all of this, my food came out perfectly cooked, hot, and exactly how I ordered it. The cook never even looked up. Legendary focus.
5 stars.“
“Passing through and this Waffle House was quite the treat! Cooked my breakfast to perfection. Very clean inside and super friendly staff. Plus, they were decorated for Valentines Day which was so fun. If I’m in the area again I’ll be stopping back in!“
