My husband and I had dinner @ Cafe Josephine to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Café Josephine is a hidden jewel in South Louisiana, offering real good authentic south Louisiana food. The food is great, with wonderful food choices. The sea bass is a wonderfully tender fish steak, mild and tasty, perfectly done with perfectly grilled asparagus. They have the best steak around, including the ribeye cap steak, which is the best piece of beef anywhere, and the chicken fried steak is out of this world. The steak is cooked to perfection, served sizzling on a cast iron skillet with mushrooms and peppers. The grilled oysters look amazing. The blueberry, white chocolate cheesecake is amazing. The loaded baked potato, green beans, smothered cabbage, and pecan pie are all highlights. The atmosphere is happy and friendly. The waitresses and waiters are always outstanding, and the chef and servers are a delight. The service is excellent, and the drinks are excellent. This is the kind of meal you remember. For anyone looking for a memorable meal, Café Josephine is the place.
