“Very cozy and unique atmosphere. The owner was very nice and accommodating. The food was great and the prices were cheap, for what is was. I highly recommend this restaurant.”
“I like the store but my friend was behind someone at the food counter and they served them but didn't come help my friend. It's like they just were to busy to help. We were only ones in the business n there were 2 people standing behind the counter doing absolutely nothing. I won't even stop at that Go Bears again. I might stop at the one across the street like I usually do, maybe! ?”
“We enjoy to go out. Last night we went to this delicious restaurant which we didn’t know before. We enjoyed a beautiful experience there with very good dishes and an efficient stuff and a great chief cook. We added this fine restaurant in our list and we will certainly come back very soon. We highly recommend.”
“Took the grandkids out for breakfast and had a great time. The food was good with plenty of choices for the picky eaters. The service was great and attentive. We didn't have to wait long on the food, and everyone enjoyed their food. Definitely will do this ”
“Very well kept and accessible restaurant. They serve large meals and for inexpensive prices. I enjoyed the meals a lot and the staff were super affable and informative. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.”
“There is nothing about this place that I wouldn't give 5 stars. I came here with my family on Easter. I got the Cornell Sanders chicken sandwich and I was blown away. I don't remember what my family go but we were amazed by the quality and flavor of our meals. When my family tried the chicken on my sandwich, my grandfather got up and found our waitress to order one before they closed to take home to Lake Charles. We chatted with the staff and they were absolutely lovely. The service was unmatched and so welcoming. There weren't a lot of people when we got there but that's understandable considering it's Easter. So I can't speak on when it's busy but the atmosphere was so amazing. The music was classic. The part we sat in had windows and so much natural light. We got dessert and I can't understate how PHENOMENAL the creme brulee was. We had such an amazing visit and will definitely be coming here again!Thank you guys so much!!”
“Simply no better place on earth to spend a weekend afternoon. Live Cajun music, fantastic pizza, and a wide variety of beers, all excellent. My personal favorites are the original LA31 pale ale and the Acadie. Superb.I live ten hours away by car but make a trip at least once a year.”
“We decided we wanted to stop somewhere for some good "ooey-gooey," and I'm glad we stopped here. We don't usually eat around Carencro, but we did this time.PROS: Right off the bat, when we first walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles and warm welcomes. The hostess was really nice, then not long after we were seated we were greeted by another friendly staff member who was our waitress. She was patient and didn't try to rush us since this was our first time here. We decided to get the fried ravioli appetizer, which was delicious. We then ordered our own created pizza, which was delicious and is what exactly what we were looking for! The atmosphere was upbeat, clean, and professional. Wasn't too crazy about the music playing, and some of the tvs didn't work, but that's easily overlooked. Pricing was reasonable for what we got, so no complaints there at all.CONS: Really can't think of any negative cons at all, which is rare because I'm a stickler when it comes to reviews, haha.OVERALL: This visit for me was flawless! From the service itself, to the pricing, to the food. Everything was great, and I definitely recommend trying here. We will definitely be returning, so thumbs up!”
“It's the only place that makes me think twice about getting a large anything. The portions here are extremely generous, and the ice cream is actually really good, not too sweet.”
“This little donut shop is serving some of the best donuts I've ever eaten! Picked up a box of assorted glazed Saturday and they were fresh, warm and melted in your mouth. The Bavarian cream filled is a must try! Easy drive thru as well as plenty of parking.”
“Stopped for lunch on our way home from New Orleans to Dallas, and this will be our permanent stop now --> the food was so good, great value, and really nice people! Take out only, so we took it for a picnic in our car. The lot's a bit rough with a closed gas station and hotel as neighbors, but it felt kinda like the neighborhood I grew up in. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯We tried one of everything. Get me 2 boudin rolls w pepperjack every day for the rest of my life (easy on the seasoned salt topping, personally.) The burger was great but a bit messy. The chicken wings were great but you could just get the boudin. Bring a cooler to take links home with you, cuz you'll be dreaming about them for days.Vegetarian options: Nothing is vegetarian except the fries *maybe”
“The staff is excellent and the food/adult beverages are on point, we highly recommend. I think if you would Post on your page more often about the great entertainment you have from Wednesday through Friday including karaoke the place will stay packed.”
“One of the best places to get pizza in south Louisiana, if you ask me. Always recommend it to people, &the atmosphere is great on the weekends w/ live music.Kid-friendliness: There is an old school arcade for the kiddos too!”
“The only reason I’m not giving them a 5 is because the employees could do just a bit better job of greeting and explaining things to customers who may have never been there before. With that being said, my mom and I stopped in by chance on a weekend road trip and grabbed some boudin balls and a crawfish pie for lunch. It was so good that we rerouted our return trip to buy a couple hundred dollars in frozen foods to carry home. We also tried the chicken cracklins for the first time and O M G! I don’t want to accuse them of doing anything illegal but there may be crack in those cracklins! Yum yum yum for my tum tum tum!Seriously, everything we had was amazing! Crawfish pies and chicken cracklins are a must though! Enjoy!”
“I ascended. Thank you Gina, made me the most delicious coffee I've ever had. The Hive was so cozy, felt like home but I could actually focus. It is a beautiful place to be. The food is spectacular, the people, and the drinks most of all. Thank you :)”
“Had been watching this shop for a while now. I must say the 30 min drive (from the south side) was well worth it. Owners provided great customer service. King cake beignets and bbq burger was delicious!”
“My husband found this restaurant on social media when he searched best Gumbo and this restaurant popped up in his feed. We drove 8 hours and LISTEN, it was WORTH every minute. We had the catfish Mardi Gras, 704 wings, 704 Bang shrimp, and Gumbo! We tried as many items as possible and all of them were prepared to perfection!! We also had desert: the chocolate chip cookies and brownie and they were phenomenal not too sweet, but just right! Everything was amazing! If you want some authentic Louisiana food try BSweet Bistro! We have traveled to New Orleans plenty of times since 2005, but hands down BSweet”
“We love Toby's brunch buffet. Not a lot of vegetable offerings but delicious food. I'm honestly not eating a lot of vegetables anyway when they're offering seafood dishes and cheesy potatoes, rice and gravy, etc. with all the breakfast offerings as well. I definitely don't leave hungry.”
“I fell in love with this place. It has a bar and a main restaurant. Bar TVs play sports and it’s awesome. I love the decor and ambiance! I had amberjack (blackened) and it was awesome. I am hoping to have a chance to go back one more time before I leave Lafayette . French 77 is a spin on French 75 and definitely a delicious adult beverage.Parking: Parking right outside of the building. Easy!”
“We were traveling through and stopped in. OMG! The food was SO DELICIOUS! This is my very first time having a boudin, they had several different varieties. We had the jalapeno pepper cream cheese stuffed fried boudin. 5 stars. The BBQ sauce on the pork sausage po boy was outstanding and all the staff was so patient with me ordering and asking questions.”
“They are so Yam Good!!I have come several times for years. 1 pie never makes it home. You will have to wait. Ordering the day before may help. Small business, run by the Momma.”
“The food was amazing! I highly recommend the meatball stew and all of their meals of the day. The service was impeccable, just what you'd expect in South Louisiana, service with love and full attention. The atmosphere, well let's just say I felt like I was taken back to family gatherings at my grandparents home, sitting around tables, enjoying conversation and fellowship with all the folks in there!”
“First time trying this place, today.Got the shrimp wrap with onion rings. The food was very fresh and delicious. A quaint little place that I definitely will be visiting again.”
“The food was so GOOD. Really wasn't expecting this on our travels through Louisiana. The price was great and the flavors were spot on, the food came out fresh fast and delicious.”
“I had been to O'Darbys in the past, working for a musical group creating video content for them. This time, on 2/17/24, I was performing with Donna Angelle playing Zydeco music. Both times, the atmosphere, service, and food were great!Definitely recommend O'Darbys for food, fun, and dancing!”
“Simply amazing. The chicken was cooked perfectly and had a nice kick. The okra tasted fresh and had a perfect crunch. The rice dressing has a great flavor with a nice spicy kick.”
“Good customer service, the food doesn't take long to be prepared it's hot, tastes fresh. Not alot of parking space. The prices are fair for all Items. The food is Genuine and creative, very good in my book of Tatsy ?”
“Java Square is my go-to coffee shop. I love their lattes, my friends enjoy their freddas, but the friendliness and courtesy from the workers is the main reason for my continued support of this business.”
“Tonight was the second time dining at Cafe Josephine's. As a delectable repeat the crab egg rolls were ordered. The crab meat tonight was not spoiled but far from fresh tasting. Did eat almost half trying to convince otherwise. On another note, the waitstaff both times were service oriented and accommodating, thank youVegetarian options: an adjacent diner had macaroni and cheese while I had the roasted brussels sprouts”
