More than one pool table would have been better but it's pretty small when compared to other bars in that area. I would definitely recommend stoppin by for a drink . “My food came out cold. I had the BBQ brisket. Sides were; potato salad, baked beans, rice dressing and a roll. I didn't receive my roll, rice dressing and brisket were cold. I mean cold like sat out of the heat for 15 minutes. We waited over 40 minutes for our food and it wasn't overly busy. Waitress tried, but first didn't bring plates for shareables, didn't bring utensils for meals, never got my BBQ sauce, and that was on her. I understand the food coming out was the kitchen not her, but the rest was. I got tap water for my drink and the bill listed my drink as 2.99 when we complained she reduced it to 89 cents. For tap water.
An apology wasn't offered, no assurance of our food coming. My brother in laws food came when others were finishing. It was a mess. I really doubt I'll be returning. It was a disappointment. It was only our second time eating there. The first time service was just as bad. It's a shame. A lil town like cankton needs these mom and pop places. But poor customer service has no excuses.”

“I’ve dined at this restaurant two times prior, and the experiences were phenomenal; hence why I chose to come here to celebrate my graduation. I had Ben as my server this evening and his service was extremely pleasant. He made sure that the table was happy and his attitude was positive. I had the bolognese lasagna-I highly recommend-and the drinks from the bar were delicious. I recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants a delicious Italian meal, with a fun atmosphere and great service for anyone who wants to celebrate any type of occasion!”

“What an incredible dining experience! We brought our teenage son and let him completely pick our menu. He chose several dishes he had never tasted before, and we were honestly blown away. He critiqued every single food item and was absolutely floored by how delicious everything was. Every bite was phenomenal! “I ventured to Lafayette to attend Festival International. Since I had the morning and most of the afternoon free the day after my arrival I decided to head to Vermillionville to explore the historic village and have lunch at La Cuisine de Maman. What a great decision!! The food at the restaurant was delicious. I had the plate lunch with a cup of seafood gumbo to start. Everything was really good. The plate lunch that day was crawfish etouffee over rice, smothered green beans, fried shrimp with tartar sauce, and a big biscuit. Portions were very generous; I thought that some of the food might overflow onto the table.😊 I didn't have room for dessert; although I've since been told by lots of people that I should have taken it with me. After eating, I explored the village. What an amazing blend of history and culture it is! I can't wait to return.”

“My husband and I went for jazz tonight!!! It was our first time and it was amazing! Our waitress Anna was very nice and engaged with us about what we like and suggested certain things. We tried many different drinks called Hot sauce, Chantilly, Expresso martini, dirty classic martini!! All are top notch drinks. The food was great!! We had the fried chicken and gravy, crawfish sauce croissants and fish tops with crawfish sauce on top of fries. We will be back!! This is a hidden gem. Don’t miss out!
