Food is very good! We always enjoy the food there. Plate lunches are a bit expensive, we ordered a pork chop plate and it came with onion rings and we wanted to replace the onion ring for mash potatoes and what we got was one pork chop in a empty to go plate with a very small cup with mash potatoes on the side for the same prize as if we would of had the onion rings in the plate and they charged extra for the small cup of mash potatoes. This place it really what a local cafe should be.great service with a kind smile . seafood platter was awsome me and the wife fell in love with the place.we will visit now that we know of this gem in cankton la.

The rice dressing was great and so was the coleslaw but the chicken was still pink inside and the brisket looked undercooked. Sausage was overcooked. I’ve eaten here many times but today I was disappointed.
