“Food is very good! We always enjoy the food there. Plate lunches are a bit expensive, we ordered a pork chop plate and it came with onion rings and we wanted to replace the onion ring for mash potatoes and what we got was one pork chop in a empty to go plate with a very small cup with mash potatoes on the side for the same prize as if we would of had the onion rings in the plate and they charged extra for the small cup of mash potatoes. And we asked for gravy and there was no gravy. But we still love their food and their very friendly atmosphere! We still eat there we just don't order the pork chops .“

Our son is a Exective chef in New Orleans so after eat the quality of food he cooks, it is hard to fined a restaurant in this area with that quality of food. “It is all delicious. Everything. If they make it, it will be an amazingly perfect bite and your taste buds will write a thank you note. I'm eating jalapeno and cream cheese boudin balls and wraps, and jalapeno pepper jack deer/pork smoked sausage right now. “Walked into this store for a quick look around. They have some beautiful things in there. Literally a price point for everyone!!! You could spend several hundreds of dollars or ten. “If you are looking for great comfort food this is the place for you! A soul food lunch counter. I had the fried pork chop with rice and gravy and mashed potatoes with gravy and white beans. Everything was seasoned well and prepared with love. Plenty of gravy, I was able to cover my rice with it. No plain rice kernels we’re had. Loved it! I hate it when places give white rice with gravy and there’s not enough to go around. The customer service was great as well. They know their regulars and make sure everyone enjoyed their meals. I will definitely come back. Very nice people who know how to work together to get things done.“

“Traveling through Lafayette Louisiana and decided to stop at Hideaway, and it didn't disappoint. I chose to sit inside at the bar as I was one person and there was a $10 cover charge for the band that would be playing.I had the house salad with in-house made lemon garlic vinaigrette. The salad was a hearty portion of mixed greens, (not Roman or iceburg), thin sliced cucumbers and sliced cherry tomatoes. The balance was perfect and the dressing refreshing.For my main dish I had the lead belly pork sandwich and onion rings. The pork belly sandwich was very flavorful with pickled greens. The onion rings were lightly battered with an in-house semi-spicy aoli. The amazing bartender custom made my sweet tea to my liking which perfectly paired with my meal.“

“Best fried catfish in Lafayette. I stopped by to picked up a tray of catfish, fries and hushpuppies to treat some family for lunch. The owner greeted me at the counter and helped with my order even threw in some bread pudding for us as well. The food was a 10 in taste and freshness. If you find yourself downtown definitely stop in you'll be glad you did.“

Grill taste, buttered toasted buns, smallest is 1/4 lb, just right for a small burger with not a huge bun. Fries were perfectly fried and seasoned.Problem with smell…of restaurant, musky, old grease, grim. Vents are very dirty near ceiling, bricks on wall were dark and appeared dirty near floor. The kitchen is open so public can watch. I’m not a fan. Seems like all the smell from kitchen flows into dining area. A good cleaning will make this a 5 star review.“

“First time there was September 5, 2021 the staff was amazing the margaritas are AMAZING fixed just the way I ask for it but the atmosphere is undesirable it brought me out of my comfort zone after being stuck in a dark place for so long! I started a new journey with someone who became my best friend and from that day has been by my side no matter what! Through him I have so many new friends and old friends back in my life that no matter what they to have me and mine! I have a family now that are so true honest and good to me! I now know what it feels like to be loved protected and wanted! Most of all I now know what it feels like to truly honestly love someone! I tried to order my food with less seasoning but I guess they can't because I'm sure it's all marinating.“

“This time I had the cheeseburger potato. I have been eating at the Potato Place for over 12 years. I used to work at the iPhone shop a few doors down and it was a great spot to get a good lunch. The potatoes are always enormous, and the toppings are always More than enough. So the cheeseburger potato I get it with extra liquid cheese, extra tomatoes, and an extra side of jalapeños.They also give you packets of Tony’s if you want to spice it up a little bit. I ate 3/4 of it which is quite a lot and it was just as delicious as it was 10 years ago. I’m so thankful for the consistency that they have carried over these years. Some people are not happy but most people are and I’ll be wanting to tell you my 12 years of experience here I have only had one potato out of possibly 100 or more I wasn’t 100% satisfied with.They always show you your potato before you leave to make sure it’s exactly what you order and they do their best to customize it just the way you want. Thank you Eric for keeping it simple and delicious and I pray that your business continues to thrive. I knew all the owners before you hopefully I’ll get to come in and meet you one day. Also, they have some new things on the menu.I look forward to trying, but for me, the cheeseburger potato, the steak fajita potato, Barbecue potato with that delicious sweet barbecue sauce, and of course, broccoli and cheese potato. These were my favorites and like I said, you can salt it you can it you can jalapeño it, and I even sometimes like to throw Sriracha on it.P.S.even though prices are going up everywhere these potatoes are well worth it. I’m just a regular customer and also I’m a paraplegic so the accessibility in the parking lot and how friendly the staff is and helping assist always makes the visit pleasant and worthwhile. “Had the best fried fish that my husband hasn't cooked. The food was so good. I looked forward to having the pecan delight pie. It didn't disappoint. It was fabulous. The serving staff, floor staff and even the cashier were extremely nice. They all went above and beyond to provide great service. The restaurant is dated and could use a refresh/update, but it was very clean. The price for our meal was reasonable. We got our money's worth. The restroom was clean and well kept. This is the Lafayette location. We are from Lake Charles and our two Piccadilly were closed years ago. Wish whoever is in charge would consider opening a new restaurant in Lake Charles, LA.“
