“My daughter and I had breakfast this morning at the Waffle House in Carencro. The restaurant was extremely clean and well kept but most importantly their customer service was incredible. They were polite, professional and friendly. Props to Sarah Mae and the whole crew!“

“I took my kids and friend there on yesterday to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. After receiving our food, the waitress asked if everything was ok. I informed her that my shrimp was over cooked and was very hard to chew. She said she would inform the manager….we waited 8 minutes and no manager came. We watched him walk back and forth without ever acknowledging me. When the waitress passed back I asked her what did he say, she said oh, he said that how they cook it. Finally after 5 minutes or so he came, saw and said him self that my shrimp was overcooked and that he’ll be back. I waited and waited he never came back. I had the shrimp poboy that had a total of 5 and a half shrimp on it. It was like they took pieces of crust and stuck it between bread. My friend got up and stopped him to ask what’s going on because he never came back. He told her that I couldn’t be accommodated because I ate some it. They were all very unprofessional. I’ll never go back there. That definitely not how you handle business and the customer.“

“Indoors was full so we chose to eat outside rather than leave and I’m so glad we did! We had our daughter so they even offered to bring an additional fan to point towards her. They were very attentive and kind the entire time. We ordered an appetizer and our two entrées and everything was GREAT! Bonus points everyone eating there just like us were just the sweetest as they were passing us walking in and out of the restaurant! And no I don’t think that was coincidence or luck, that Park Bistro and its service just attracts those type of people! Most definitely will be back and will recommend to others!“

“We went to Mel’s on Johnston St. this past Saturday. It was busier than usual but there was a visiting football team and their supporters in town. The crowd was loud, but everyone seemed happy. The food came out hot and was very fast! The food and the service was excellent! We love Mel’s and had another great experience!“

“Had an amazing lunch to go. I was in the area and decided to use my T-Mobile Tuesday deal. I ordered the chicken stripe meal with fries and received a burger meal for free. I had the original burger with fries. The food was hot and fresh. The wonderful staff assisted me with my order. It was a crazy thunderstorm day and I went inside to order. My food was still hot by the time I made it home.“

“My food came out cold. I had the BBQ brisket. Sides were; potato salad, baked beans, rice dressing and a roll. I didn't receive my roll, rice dressing and brisket were cold. I mean cold like sat out of the heat for 15 minutes. We waited over 40 minutes for our food and it wasn't overly busy. Waitress tried, but first didn't bring plates for shareables, didn't bring utensils for meals, never got my BBQ sauce, and that was on her. I understand the food coming out was the kitchen not her, but the rest was. I got tap water for my drink and the bill listed my drink as 2.99 when we complained she reduced it to 89 cents. For tap water.
An apology wasn't offered, no assurance of our food coming. My brother in laws food came when others were finishing. It was a mess. I really doubt I'll be returning. It was a disappointment. It was only our second time eating there. The first time service was just as bad. It's a shame. A lil town like cankton needs these mom and pop places. But poor customer service has no excuses.“

We ordered the baked fish, salad, turnip greens, garlic toast, carrots, soufflé, and an Italian cream cheesecake — and every single thing was cooked to absolute perfection. The flavors were spot‑on, the portions were generous, and the consistency is exactly why I keep coming back.

The customer service feels down‑home and genuine, the kind you don’t get everywhere anymore. My plate was fresh, hot, and prepared with care. We enjoyed sitting outside in the beautiful weather while sipping cocktails (1942 Old Fashioned, Conundrum and Scout’s Honor red blends), sharing the Baked Brie appetizer, Grilled Chicken Breast entrée, and finishing with the Molten Chocolate Cake. “We came early after my son’s graduation. But the staff got straight to us and made sure we were comfortable. We were waited upon with grace and patience. The waitress name was Asia. She was very talkative and conversational. She gave us plenty of attention and personality. We come here as often as we can and the food is always fresh. We got boneless wings and fries with wedges. The boys were waited upon and they were able to really enjoy three food and time. We will visit again for sure.“
