I've tried all their sides, brussels are DELICOUS. Zucchini salad is also VERY good. I do think it has a LOT of almonds, but I could have just gotten a nut heavy scoop, so definitely recommend! We did and sampler platter and the meats are solid. The ribs are THE BEEEEST. pulled pork and brisket is good too. have yet to try the burnt ends, that's my next venture! Overall a great meal. Price wise, it is moderate. price points around the same if not cheaper for most BBQ I've had up here. I'm from the south so prices will never be as cheap as there, but the food, personally, is worth the price.“

“The plain outlook belies the neat and tidy inside. Went for the grill, tried both chicken and shrimp, and I had ordered the LA galbi as well but had the cook cook it for me so I could pack home. They do give you lettuce so you can eat it as a wrap, and helps you to cook on the grill (see video). Side dishes and the sauces were pretty authentic. Ssamjang (fermented soy paste that is mixed with other sauces for meat lettuce wraps) was a little different, more pale and liquidy. Didn't quite like that one. They do replenish the lettuce somewhat, but not the side dishes. The bowl of rice was good amount. The meat was marinated well. I had similar grilled chicken before but shrimp version was new to me. It was tasty and peeled well. The LA galbi was good too, but a little too little in terms of amount for the price (maybe the meat had shrink during cooking), so gave 4 for service. Lots of options on the menu in both appetizers and main dishes. The seafood pancake was quite thick and oily. Want to try other ones too, curious to see how authentic they are. They also don't have Korean desserts, unfortunately. So please plan accordingly. There is Hmart and Paris Barguette nearby (walking distance), FYI, if want something Korean for dessert as well.“

“We stopped by the Smoke Shop in Woburn earlier than they opened. The director of operations noticed us and insisted we stay and eat. The food was remarkable - pulled chicken was seasoned very well and so moist, and thr brisket was melt-in-your mouth good. Even more impressive was the service - made more so because they hadn't yet opened. Great food, great service and, frankly, great music. We'll be return customers.“

I loved everything about the aesthetic, and enjoyed the soft music playing in the background. Being able to choose the ingredients I wanted - knowing they were organic and that they looked more than delicious raw...that was the absolute best part. The gentleman at the front was supremely helpful and answered any question thrown at him - by anyone in the shop. The price was more than worth the amount of food received, and the care extended to us as guests was wonderful. I absolutely would recommend anyone to give this a try. “It might sound strange to some, but I want to thank SGD for having some of the best rice in the area. A lot of restaurants go for cheaper rice options to save on costs. SGD using better quality rice really does elevate the meal, and helps it stand out among other Asian dining options. Thank you for this attention to detail!

“Came in on a Sunday evening when every other hot pot spot in Allston had lines out the door. This was the only place where we could sit right away. Based on the name, I assumed it was strictly a hot pot joint, but the menu was much broader. Standard QR code ordering system, food came out fast.

Most of my friends recommended the dry pots, so we went with pork and beef versions, plus a regular pork hot pot for comparison. All pots come with six toppings by default (vegetables and noodles), with proteins as add-ons. Even with extras, each pot was under $25, and the portions were huge. The regular hot pot was fine, but the dry pots had way more flavor and heat. Since I don’t have dry pots often, it’s difficult to say whether this was top tier, but most of the toppings were good quality.

We also tried the stir-fried string beans and chili wontons, both solid. But knowing how big the pots were, we probably could’ve skipped the sides.

Overall not as flashy as the big-name hot pot spots nearby, but way easier to get into and much cheaper. Might come back for the dry pots.“
