“We booked a boat dinner during Head of the Charles weekend for 22 people. Zoe at Sloane's helped me plan the event and she could not have been more wonderful for helping us make it all perfect. She was responsive and understanding. The restaurant staff made us all feel welcome and comfortable. The food and drinks were awesome and we all left very happy. Thank you!“

“Excellent food with influences from all over the world. Every dish we had was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Just be warned that the menu is pretty short, so look at it online before going to make sure there is something that appeals.“

“I just had the best meal of my life here at Comfort Kitchen. Everything and everyone at this restaurant was phenomenal. We started with the Onion Soup Sliders - truly excellent, like a roti quesadilla. Then we had the Fried Trout with the Collard Greens, both were indescribable; the spicy crab sauce served with the trout was gourmand and the delicious smoky bacon flavor of the collard greens was not too heavy or oily! Each element shined and was so well-balanced.

And then, the DESSERT! WOW! The cardamom semifreddo was creamy and not too sweet. Just incredible, especially paired with the Nepali Milk Tea — which was clearly homemade!

“I got the Mac ‘N Stack with a potato salad side, the New England Clam Chowder, and a peanut butter chocolate frappe. It was so good! The potato salad and clam chowder were just like my memories from before going vegan, and the peanut butter chocolate frappe really brought me back to childhood memories. And the Mac ‘N Stack itself was good too, with the waffles with macaroni inside of them providing an enjoyable and unique textural experience, a great seitan patty, and excellent sauce.“

“saw this restaurant and it's james beard nominee chef on phantom gourmet, so when i drove up from the Cape to see my Uncle we decided to check it out… i grew up in the neighborhood so was neat to see the old hood! this place used to be a bakery, and has been transformed into a hip counter service option for breakfast/lunch, etc....sparkling clean, friendly counterperson, was my first impression...there is a nice window facing counter with stools to sit at and enjoy your selections...we both ordered the fish congee and i got the rice noodles with hoisin sauce and my uncle ordered the rice noodles with curry fish balls, and we ordered green tea...all the dishes were so yummy! i'm talking deliciousness every bite. i worked in chinatown for 17 years so im familiar with most of the dishes, its a good varied menu of the staples and the unexpected ...the congee was an appetizing and creative presentation with nuts and different colorful toppings for added flavor and esthetics ...had such a delicate fish flavor....we plan to return soon...want to try the french toast and also the rice with salt and pepper chicken...the bao selections look tempting as well! busy area but we found hancock street parking and saw spots on Billings Rd as well...highly recommend.“

“Cafe Mami is a neighborhood gem. We've been coming here for years to enjoy their variety of Japanese comfort food. They have probably the best curry in Boston. Love the depth of great fruity curry flavor with their pork and chicken katsu and hamburger. Their gyudon has crispy sliced beef and beansprouts. Couple of our favorites are the Nininku chicken and beef tofu sets. Sauces are great and free refills on rice. They offer great value and quality. Staff is friendly and efficient. So happy they are still in the neighborhood after all these years.“

“Today is the next day my wife is still raving about our dinners which were both delicious ( sorry to find the center of the lasagna was cool) our server was professional and friendly with great suggestions including a wonderful Bordeaux . Portions were generous will go back when in Boston again to try other wine, cheese, and dessert.

“Jackson’s Kitchen has been a go to spot for us for years. I love that we can get a salmon dinner with rice pilaf and veggies or an awesome sub or burger. The diverse menu has something for everyone! Don’t miss out on the meatballs or fish tacos either. I end up getting a few dishes- too many good choices.“

“Had dinner here last week and my husband and I agreed its the best meal we've had in Boston in awhile. The food was delicious and flavorful without being heavy or unnecesarily complex. We especially loved the cauliflower/almond soup. The oysters with cherry salsa were another favorite. The mocktails were fantastic and the atmosphere struck just the right balance for us - excellent food and a well designed space, but not formal or stuffy. This feels like an elusive find in Boston. We're thrilled to add Liars to our short list of restaurants that fit that bill and can't wait to get back!“
