“You have to go by late reviews with this place. You read that they've changed owners on line a few times. It seems like the later reviews seem accurate because after going to Nick's and Pizza Mine, I've been disappointed in their pizza. It just seems like any place near Ashland Center just can't deliver good Italian Style New York Pizza. However, if you're willing to drive to Hopkinton, Blue Square, although more expensive, delivers an amazing gourmet pizza. But there are nights I don't want to drive to Hopkinton, so with the latest reviews here for Ashland Pizza Palace, we gave them numerous more chances that yielded a great experience recently. Now their Pizza is Greek Style, not Italian, but it's wonderful. Very good in the zest of the sauce, wonderfully cheezy and the toppings were terrific. So I've been back there more than a few times. My wife likes their Greek Salad with Chicken. We had good luck with Pizzaville in Southborough Salad wise, but got turned off by undercooked chicken that was pink on the inside twice. They also screwed up delivery orders twice. So we stopped going there. I absolutely LOVE Marathon Deli. But as phenomenal as their food is, they are pricey. Last week, I took my 87 year old Aunt to Ashland Pizza Palace after she had a Colonoscopy and we ate there. They knew what I was dealing with regarding my Aunt and without me asking anything from them brought our Subs to our table and were very attentive to us. I heard the nice girl who took our order say "That order is for here." My Steak Sub and her Tuna Sub were delivered very promptly. So the Subs were great. The service was great. Orders over the past 3 months were were also great. The place has nice paper menus and nice modern signs showing their many food options. The Rest Room was also very clean. So across the board over the past 3 months, this place is getting high marks from me review wise. One final thing. Their prices post pandemic are without question the most reasonable around Ashland Center. I've seen so many restaurants around here raise their prices during and after the pandemic and not come down since inflation has come down. This place has REASONABLE prices. I hope that their consistency continues going forward as they have become our Go-to place for Pizza, Salads and Subs. It seems as though the competition around this area charge more than these guys do or they don't focus on the quality of the food as much as these guys do. And when you want to get a 3 topping Pizza, you're looking at $26 to pay for it from one of their competitors. These guys don't gouge their customers. As I said earlier, these guys are the best Pizza and Sub Shop closest to Ashland Center. My one and only complaint is that they're closed Sundays. I think that's great that they give their workers Sundays off. But they really should look at that considering many people want take out or delivery on Sundays....especially during Football Season when Wings and Pizza are necessary. I made the mistake of driving over there one recent Sunday and found out they were closed. Overall we love you guys....Keep up the fantastic work. I'm sure I'll be back as will many of your other customers.“
“The burgers were very good and definitely had their own twist my burger had ham smoked sausage or fried egg lettuce tomato and Potato Sticks also corn and some type of cream sauce it was very good the only thing that would have had me give them a five-star review would be bigger french fries they seem to like the thin Frozen options you can get at the supermarket I also asked to add jalapenos which they didn't have strangely the price was kind of high I think around 14 to $16 the burger was very good though the only thing I would change would be some better fries I'll definitely consider coming back again“
“Expertly prepared seafood! Grilled foods are cooked to perfection always! Outstanding pizza varieties. Salads are always freshly bedded with crispy lettuce with premium ingredients atop! Subs are excellent, and the pasta dinners could potentially feed two. The entire menu is a gastronomical dream come true for this type of fare! I can wholeheartedly recommend the fried haddock with extra crispy fries or the grilled steak and chicken combo with crispy fries plus a side of their tasty rice! Prices can be a little more than pre-covid days but honestly, for the quality of the food and the speed of service I have no problem paying a little more, besides, we get to support a local business and that I believe is important during these trying times! Clearly this place is popular with families as there were several families with children already seated. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, honey beet salad, and Mexican street corn pizza. The food was delivered in a timely manner. The mushrooms came in a delicious rosemary lemon cream sauce, and we were given a spoon to get every last drop of the sauce. The salad was outstanding. The pizza looked a bit sparse on the toppings, but had a great flavor. All the food tasted fresh and homemade. “I feel like I have been frequenting Papa Gino’s recently because my parents love their chicken Caesar salad pita pockets. When I ask them what they want for dinner, it’s literally all they want haha. I espcially love their pita bread and pizza! Tonight I ordered a BLT sandwich for my husband and noticed that when we got home it wasn’t in the bag. I gave them a call and they were so quick to say they would make me a new one, free of charge. So I got back in the car to head back there only to find the sandwich had fallen out of the bag and lodged itself under a seat. Ugh, I felt so bad because this was around dinner time and I know they were probably busy. So I went to the store to explain the situation (since I knew they had already made it and packaged it up for me), insisting they let me pay for the new sandwich. The manager and his staff would absolutely not let me pay for it and were so so kind. “I love that this is a place run by a family and not a chain. I ordered 2 pizzas one cheese and one eggplant. When I asked for caramelized onions, I was told that they didn't have any but could cook some on the grill. I appreciate the honesty! When I arrived, the pizza was hot and ready. The price was better than most places and I left happy. The crust was tender but a little thicker than I like. Both pizzas were very good but not great. Overall I would recommend this place.“

Good menu selection - with a lot of what you would expect from a pizza & sub shop and some unique menu items. We ordered a cheese pizza, eggplant parm sub, meatball sub and a BLT. Food was quick and good - the eggplant parm was the real standout, and the rest of the food was good as well. Greek style pizza, a bit greasy but crisp crust. The owners and staff really go above and beyond - bring out out the food to your table right when it is ready and the owners checked in twice with my family to make sure we were comfortable and offered to pull up a second table for us if we wanted. When we were done, the owners had lollipops for my young kids. Wish I took a picture of the food, but everyone was so hungry and the food went too fast - but definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!“

I’m from New York and I really value a place where I can stop and grab one or two slices of pizza. This place has the best pizzas by the slice. Chicken bacon ranch pizza, flawless. “Well, it was 3:30 PM on a Monday and the wife and I ravenous, having had no lunch. We were traveling back from a doctor’s appointment and at this hour all restaurants with seating seem to be closed. My first job was in food service so I pay attention to service quality. James was professional and courteous even though the customer interaction has to be quick because of the nature of the job. He took time to politely answer questions from customers who were clearly not familiar with Papa Gino’s/D’Angelo, nor this particular service plaza.
