“Went for lunch on one day and it was insanely fabulous went for breakfast another day and it was also great! Portions are HUGE definitely can split with someone or for another meal. Prices very reasonable. The only meh thing was that there was a musician at breakfast making it a bit difficult to hear. Music was great just a bit loud for breakfast. Highly recommend going. We'll have to go back sometime to try dinner.“

“I only bother to review this location (yes, it’s Starbucks though the service may a bit more disorganized than other stores) because it is larger than most and shaped like a bowling alley. Oh, and it’s handy off of I-90 as the service areas heading to Boston along this stretch don’t have Starbucks - horrors!“

“Amazing! The Reuben blew my mind and the fries are wicked flavorful. We ate here every single day of our Salem stay and it still didn’t feel like I got enough of it. Their desserts are so good. The whoopie pies, chocolate and funfetti, remind me of childhood. I also had the chocolate and vanilla cupcakes…chefs kisses all around. The husband said the cookies were great and had several every night for a bedtime snack. They had peanut butter chocolate chip and traditional chocolate chip. Both were winners! We tried the Reuben, turkey wrap, chicken sandwich, steak sandwich, and desserts. Everything was great. We did not have one item that didn’t taste great. Make this one of your must visit stops if you’re in Salem!“

“First time at First Bite today for brunch - everything we ordered was excellent. Our new favorite breakfast spot. Flights of waffles, pancakes and french-toast, eggs-benedict (Irish) with corned beef hash and what had to be a homemade english muffin, bagel breakfast egg & cheese sandwich and junior breakfast with CRISPY BACON - they asked how you want it regular or crispy. Love THAT. And the hollandaise sauce spot on! Great coffees too.“

“We had a massive snowstorm over the weekend that canceled my daughter’s sixth birthday party, and she woke up absolutely heartbroken. In a last-minute Hail Mary, I called The Rose Room Cafe to see if there was ANY chance a few kids could come in for cake, presents, and a little celebration to lift her spirits. They didn’t hesitate—they were incredibly accommodating and let us use their beautiful space on short notice. The team was so warm, flexible, and genuinely kind; they truly went above and beyond to make sure my little girl felt special on her big day. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere was perfect for our small group, and it turned what could have been a sad day into a magical, memorable one. The Rose Room isn’t just a great cafe with amazing coffee, scratch-made treats, and local vibes—they’re a community gem that cares deeply about the people around them. I owe them big time and can’t thank them enough. If you’re in the area, support this wonderful spot—you won’t find kinder people or a warmer place. Highly recommend! “We went for dinner last night & everything was delicious!!! Bill & Jannette were fantastic! Two of us had the veal, one had the seafood medley & I had the chicken salad wrap. “Really nice experience. Friendly service, very clean, and much more spacious than it first appears (there’s a large seating area in the back that’s perfect for reading or a quiet conversation). The croissant with egg and cheese was delicious and filling, and the cappuccino was excellent too. Definitely recommended.“

“Sending email with payment due 3 days before its due... Does bursar or anyone in that office have thousands of $ in their account to be able to make that kind of payment on such a short notice? Why do they expect an average parent to be able to have it? I find it disrespectful and straigh up abuse. How is a student supposed to concentrate on learning with this kind of surprises? He registered few months ago!!! And you had to wait for the last 3 days to notify? if you want horrible communication about financial part - that's your school. Teachers are great. Bursar's office is a constant source of stress and will not volunteer any information - should be working as spies.“
