Burg & Shaw is a restaurant that has received outstanding reviews for its burgers. The smash burgers are described as some of the best, with thin and crispy edges but not dry. The double beef burger is perfectly grilled and charred to perfection, served on brioche buns with a buttery taste and the right amount of burger sauce. The chicken sandwich had great flavor and felt lighter. Prices are reasonable, with the double burger at $10.99 and the chicken sandwich at $7.99. The Stack Pack offers both the Burg and the Chicken plus fries for $17.99, which is great value and could maybe feed 2. The fries are perfectly seasoned, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, with generous portions. The shawarma isn't the same as a traditional wrap but is still good. Spice Cream is also mentioned. Service is super quick, and the staff is welcoming and courteous. The restaurant is clean, has a few seats inside and a standing table on the side, but it is not a sit down dining establishment. It is the only smash burger place downtown that is also halal, with Middle eastern flavours, and open till late. It gets busy during late night, with at least a 20-30min wait. The menu only has a few options but they do everything really well.
