This place is an absolute gem. It's not haute cuisine, it's Mediterranean home cooking, but it's a very fine example of it. You won't be eating fancy meals here, but you will be eating simple and delicious fare. I've been eating here for nearly twenty years. and I just love it. Jaffa is pretty solid. I got the falafel plate which came with 6-7 crispy, flavorful falafel atop a bed of lettuce, tomatoes, olives (just one, though :), red onions, and feta cheese. The pita bread was soft and the dressing was yogurt-y and yummy. My partner's chicken and hummus shawarma wrap was also tasty -- the chicken was tender -- although the wrap itself could have used more crunch factor (like lettuce or something). Delicious Mediterranean food but interesting wait staff. I think maybe it's because it's a family who has their kids doing the brunt of the work. We were looking for a good place to get some food in the Saturday night that wasn't overly crowded. this place definitely fit the bill as we walked by. We both ordered the cafe yaffa plate for two AFTER the waitress came to take our order and we told her we hadn't even been hands any menus yet. The food was delicious.
