I ordered a sancocho that looked like a soup, very bad, the taste of soup was nothing, no meat, I didn't like it at all.

I love mondongo and ive ordered it from here before but the mondongo I ordered today was horrible. It was inedible and tasted old. I won't be ordering mondongo from here again if they have inconsistent taste.

I went on a Sunday with my family and the overall experience was horrible except that the food was very good, I don't complain about the food except first of all the music was stupidly loud as if it were a disco, and we had 2 babies and a girl 4 years old and even though they saw us they didn't care, we were almost going to leave the place and leave the food half done! The service of the waitresses was good but what bothered me the most was that the bill was altered, they charged us an exorbitant amount for what we ordered which was no big deal, then I took out the bill with the menu in hand at my house and there was a scam of at least 75 to 100 dollars more in theAccount... but maybe it was my mistake in not complaining or reviewing at the time but I don't know why I didn't think about it at the time but later that I was left with that doubt about why so much money. Definitely, gentlemen, check your account before paying, I will never return to this place, my experience was very bad!

They must have been paying attention to the bad reviews because the food was AMAZING! My first time visiting having never been there since they moved in and it was AMAZING. Well, the drinks were highly lacking in pour measures and pricey at that, since they weren't good. My husband ordered the BISTEC SALTEADO (Sautéed Steak) and while it was not cooked to the medium temp requested, it was very tender and full of flavor. I ordered the PESCADO EN RUEDAS FRITO (fried red snapper in tomato sauce) and baby, it was huge and so so so good. We are definitely going back for the food. My fellow Caribbeans, you will be proud. I can't speak on other items, as my brother said their chicken can be dry, but the 2 dishes we purchased were top notch, with no exaggeration. Plantains were fried and fresh and their Pico is this sort of vinaigrette mixture, can't quite put my nose to it, but really good on everything. We will be back very soon, eager to try the oxtail, mofongo and goat stew buuuut I know I will most likely try the fish again. Our server was nice, not much of conversation had, but she was pleasant and attentive. And the ambiance is nice, but music us a bit too loud for an early dinner service. There were about 4 other dining tables, with a larger party, but it was a weeknight, I would imagine the weekend is lively.

I arrived with my daughter and it is not an environment for children, apart from the fact that my food was contaminated even though they know that I have an allergy to shellfish, the service is terrible, I will not

On 09-24-2023 after the Redsox day game I took the family out to eat at Guira and Tambora. My sister in Law and her friend met us. As soon as we walked in the music was loud. It was loud for a restaurant setting and having a conversation was difficult. While we were waiting for the food to come out the music went up to such a loud setting that it became unbearable. When I asked the waiter to turn it down she laughed said no. Their is no escaping this loudness as their is a speaker mounted above every seating area of the restaurant .The food finally came out while we sat through this torture. I have eaten many times at this restaurant and have dealt with the music above average restaurant loud. On this day it was above any acceptable levels. Their was no dancing or special events going on on this day. The food was not as good as it has been in the past. The steak had above average fat content and was not as soft. The rice was not as fresh tasting as in previous visits. Their should be warning signs at the door for loud music inside and proceed at your own risk and have hearing protection at the door if you decide to proceed. They have signs asking patrons not to play loud music outside so the neighbors are not bothered. My ears are still ringing. Food/spirits, dancing along with music is normal and customary throughout the island but this loudness of music for dinner is not customary. This loudness is beyond average. Its embarrassing especially when you bring people to come try Dominican food who leave with an impression that we are some type of savage animals. My ears are still ringing almost 24 hrs later and I will be filing a complaint with the board of health in regards to the noise level so it doesn't happen to someone else. No amounts of sorry are going to bring back a family gathering that was ruined and the embarrassment I feel that we are probably looked at as savage animals.Parking: Tight unorganized parking in rear.

The music was too effing loud, we had to leave. I don’t how people could stay in this place without going deaf. My husband’s Apple Watch sensed the loudness of the music that it flagged a warning that staying there could cause temporary deafness. We ordered appetizers, but had to step out and get a reprieve from the noise. We ended up just taking it to go. The food was good, but it was unfortunate that we had to flee the place for the sake of our own health.

Came here on Sunday before Labor Day and what a mistake and waste of time. Service was terrible. She came to our table 3 times and that was because we had to send for her every time. Including when we were fed up and just asked for the check. It’s like she forgot she was waiting tables. Literally disappeared for over 45 minutes and it was not busy at all at the time we were there. Probably will never be back and it’s so sad because I actually liked the atmosphere and food wasn’t bad…fyi babies and kids shouldn’t be allowed in here, music is way too loud. If you care for service don’t come here, it’s so unprofessional.
