Friendly service and staff
You took the lobster Mac & cheese off your menu....we were heartbroken. Music was too loud at the outside deck.
I would have thought that seafood in Boston would have been fresh and local, but the seafood options on the menu were maybe fresh, but from places other than East Coast. That's fine and all, but why not add items that are local to the area. The location was fantastic, right on the water, with a great view. The service was very good and attentive. Legal Sea Foods offers a variety of seafood meals, including oysters, chowders, tuna, and scallops, that are consistently fabulous. The staff is accommodating and pleasant, even when faced with unexpected changes or early arrivals. The restaurant provides a great view from the third-floor outdoor bar, creating a fantastic atmosphere for cocktails before dinner. Customers enjoy enormous and fresh shrimp cocktail appetizers, and the clam chowder remains a champion dish. Dinners such as baked haddock, crabmeat sandwich, crabcake and shrimp, and braised pork bolognese are highly praised, with some dishes described as the best ever. The service is generally super, with attentive staff who never rush diners and replenish waters promptly. Many guests appreciate the quick and friendly service, and the staff’s knowledge of the menu and market rates adds to the positive experience. The restaurant’s atmosphere is lively, especially when reservations are made, as it tends to get very busy. Despite occasional reports of less attentive service or less satisfying meals, the food remains the main highlight of the restaurant, offering consistently high-quality seafood dishes in a welcoming environment.
