“I’ve been eating here for a long time and generally enjoy the food. The chicken is flavorful, and it’s one of my favorite peri-peri spots. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The rice and chicken portions are often quite small, and the rice is not always fresh. At the same time, the salad portions tend to be very large compared to the rice. A better balance between the sides and more consistent freshness would make the overall experience even better.“

“The food alone would earn five stars, but the owners make this place so incredibly special. In all my years of dining out, I have never encountered hospitality so genuine and warm. The pizza is great, but the Mediterranean food is where they shine. When the owner discovered I was vegetarian, he personally invited me back the next day for the best falafel sandwich I have ever tasted (on the house!). Genuinely one of the kindest and most sincere dining experiences I have ever had! Could not more highly recommend!“

Food has always been fresh, I have eaten inside and got it delivered through Uber eats and door dash. Food quality has been consistent. I ordered from this place quite a lot. Keema, Nihari, Naan, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Achari Gosht, Chicken Curry, Goat Curry, Beef Curry, Biryani, Chapli Kebab, Pakoras. All of these dishes are highly recommended. I wish they actually gave more raita and green chutney, they definitely are stingy on it lol.“

“We usually order from a different Shawarma place in Somerville, but decided to give Sam's a try. The food was very good, and in good sized portions. They were good about following requests to leave things out of the wraps. Note that they do the style with fries on the side rather than in the wrap. My only complaint is that they list some, but not all, of the ingredients on their site. So if you have things you can't eat, I definitely recommend calling them to double check. My partner can't do creamy sauces, and they listed tahini sauce but not garlic sauce in the lamb/beef shawarma, which ended up being a problem. Not a huge thing, just annoying that they make it look like everything is listed when it isn't.“

The tagine was tender and full of flavor, and the couscous was light and delicious. I also loved the fresh bread and mint tea — it made the whole experience even better.
