“The husband and I did an order during their soft open, and it was super good! We have ordered atleast 2-3 more times since the soft open and it's always good! I've tried all their sides, brussels are DELICOUS. Zucchini salad is also VERY good. I do think it has a LOT of almonds, but I could have just gotten a nut heavy scoop, so definitely recommend! We did and sampler platter and the meats are solid. The ribs are THE BEEEEST. pulled pork and brisket is good too. have yet to try the burnt ends, that's my next venture! Overall a great meal. Price wise, it is moderate. price points around the same if not cheaper for most BBQ I've had up here. I'm from the south so prices will never be as cheap as there, but the food, personally, is worth the price.“

“The plain outlook belies the neat and tidy inside. Went for the grill, tried both chicken and shrimp, and I had ordered the LA galbi as well but had the cook cook it for me so I could pack home. They do give you lettuce so you can eat it as a wrap, and helps you to cook on the grill (see video). Side dishes and the sauces were pretty authentic. Ssamjang (fermented soy paste that is mixed with other sauces for meat lettuce wraps) was a little different, more pale and liquidy. Didn't quite like that one. They do replenish the lettuce somewhat, but not the side dishes. The bowl of rice was good amount. The meat was marinated well. I had similar grilled chicken before but shrimp version was new to me. It was tasty and peeled well. The LA galbi was good too, but a little too little in terms of amount for the price (maybe the meat had shrink during cooking), so gave 4 for service. Lots of options on the menu in both appetizers and main dishes. The seafood pancake was quite thick and oily. Want to try other ones too, curious to see how authentic they are. They also don't have Korean desserts, unfortunately. So please plan accordingly. There is Hmart and Paris Barguette nearby (walking distance), FYI, if want something Korean for dessert as well.“

“Tried for the first time. It was a bit quiet. But service was awesome. Friendly staff. Ribs fall of the bone, dry rub wings were good. The mac & cheese is alright Can't wait to come again“

I loved everything about the aesthetic, and enjoyed the soft music playing in the background. Being able to choose the ingredients I wanted - knowing they were organic and that they looked more than delicious raw...that was the absolute best part. The gentleman at the front was supremely helpful and answered any question thrown at him - by anyone in the shop. The price was more than worth the amount of food received, and the care extended to us as guests was wonderful. I absolutely would recommend anyone to give this a try. “Blackstrap is my GO TO for bbq, neighborhood vibes, live music, darts, etc. The staff is so fun, the food and drinks are amazing, it’s comfortable and chill but you still get great service and food/drink. The owners are super hands on and always there, and are such nice and cool people. Definitely recommend, especially for their live music nights! Nothing else like it around here!“

“We celebrated my wife’s Birthday last month and we had a great time with my family.
We had never been to a BBQ place like this before so we had no clue what to do.
Our waitress was very helpful and answered every question we had and explained what was going to happen and how it would work with the food.

“We went looking for Barbecue International and found out it was changed to Himalayan Kitchen. First timers and we ran into the owner who was super nice. We had the chicken pakoras, chicken tika masala lunch, garlic naan and beef chilli. Honestly favorite restaurant in Somerville now, definitely going to be regulars here. Everything was spiced perfectly and was amazing. 10/10 perfect comfort food and also good day food. Really happy we stopped by.“

I dare anyone to find better ribs for the money you pay here! Fall off the bone ribs with just enough bite. The sauce is the perfect blend of tangy and sweet. This country boy will be back soon!
