“The best bar in Dorchester! I was visiting the neighborhood on a Sat. night from out of town, and the bartender and clientele were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even brought in pizza from next door and shared it with everyone. :)

PS Why do your hats not say maverick, @ maverick Hospitality maybe you open a place next middlebeast next.. I wonder the dos equivalent reps buddy who just just came from sox game was its so hard to make a comeback its really not though“

“Food was great the view is phenomenal the only thing I did not like Is the fact we had a reservation for a table for 5 And the waiter could only accommodate a table of 4 with the 5 th on the side facing the wall For this reason I give it a 3 star passing note fair enough I think“

The steak tips are not the correct cut and taste like stew meat or something. It's not well seasoned. The hosts in front does nothing and stays on their cell phone. Slipping....“

“A good friend of mine let me know that McGath's was going to start serving bar pizza. I decided to stop by and grab a bar pie for take out. I sat at the bar and ordered my pie to do and a Stella on Draft for the wait. Service was great and the Bar Pie was cooked to order and boxed up and delivered bar side. Cash Only place but an ATM on site if needed. As for the take out bar pie perfect crust sauce and cheese ratio was on point.“

“I've gone to Cook twice and both times have been impressed with the quality of food and service we received. Depending on the night, I would definitely recommend a reservation. The last time I went, I ordered Pita bread starter, Steak Tips, Bog drink (can't remember the exact name), and Peach Sangria. The drinks were both good. Cant complain. The starter was good - warm pita served with muhamara and cheese. Great start to the dinner. The main dish arrived, and it was decently portioned. The steak tips were cooked perfectly, the potato croquette side was solid, and I could take or leave the broccoli. Overall, very satisfied. I am sure we will be back.“

“I ordered the catfish basket to go and it was delicious! I called about 45 mins after they opened, they were very nice, told me about 15 mins and it was just under 10. My intention was to order the Haddock, but when they said they could offer Catfish, I went with that. It was de-boned, not over cooked, but still had a nice crisp. So good! I will definitely be back.“

As a female, I often stop in alone for a beer, appetizer and keno and feel perfectly safe.
That's not always the case in other place's so, that's why I choose to stop in occasionally.“

“this public House feels like a public home. there is a great community of regular customers who are really nice people. they offer a full bar and food. there is an outdoor area with great ambiance and games. they have a lot of fun weekly activities like karaoke and live music. they also just got in a new pool table with beautiful new cloth and balls. We have been having this pizza since way back in the 80’s when it was at the railroad station when every pizza was perfect. Glad too see that same quality again.
