The Menemsha Galley is exactly what you would expect from a walk up eatery in a small fishing village. Beautiful views from the back porch (try to sit on the benches to the left), and food done just right. If you're looking for gourmet, head to Edgartown to be charged more. If what you want is a quick lunch that's tasty, with fishing village atmosphere and well priced (for MV), this is your spot!
I’ve been coming to The Galley since the 1980s… this year, after spending about $50 on ice cream, we asked them for a small cup of water for my 3 year old. They insisted that we’d have to pay 27 cents for it.I was more confused than angry but that’s just an abysmal business practice.

The soft serve is the best I've had. They offer dipped in chocolate , chocolate peanut butter or cherry . Two line's, one for ice cream and one for food. The line goes fast.
